The Associate Chief Counsel Corporate employs approximately 40 attorneys who work in our National Office in Washington, DC. These attorneys provide published guidance, field support, and legal advice on tax matters involving corporate organizations, reorganizations, liquidations, spin-offs, transfers to controlled corporations, distributions, to shareholders, debt vs. equity determinations, bankruptcies, and consolidated return issues affecting groups of affiliated corporations, among other matters.

As an Attorney-Adviser (Tax) - Assistant to the Branch Chief, you will provide a full range of legal tax advice and management related duties. You will perform the full range of legal work within the Branch, serve as a technical reviewer, and perform specific management duties as assigned. Assignments include but are not limited to:

• Assist the Chief in determining work priorities and work schedules. Follow up on work assigned to attorneys within the Branch and alert supervisor to any potential delays. • Work with the Branch Chief to ensure an orderly flow work. Observe and recommend training based on needs and performance of Branch employees. Review briefs prepared by trial attorneys and, on occasion, prepare briefs for filing with the Tax Court. Furnish technical information, advice, and assistance in the development and drafting of tax legislation. Initiates, develops, and drafts regulations, revenue rulings, and other interpretations of the corporate tax provisions of the Code. Administer those provisions, including provisions for which precedents have not been established with respect to which the issues are highly controversial and sensitive affecting the Internal Revenue Service, and related matters.
• Respond to requests for private letter rulings, closing agreements, technical advice, and other advice or assistance of a technical nature submitted by taxpayers, authorized representatives, other divisions and branches of the Service and Counsel, Treasury, other Federal departments, state or local governmental agencies, and foreign governments. Review briefs prepared by trial attorneys and, on occasion, prepare briefs for filing with the Tax Court. Provide necessary expertise in developing the Service's litigating position.

The Senior Technician Reviewer (STR), is responsible for some of the most complicated, difficult, and unusual assignments and projects in the Branch. In consultation with the Branch Chief, the incumbent is responsible for the assignment of selected cases and projects to the attorneys within the Branch and for review of the work products. The primary work of the Branch involves the development and drafting of Internal Revenue regulations and considering recommendations for enactment of legislation and the promulgation of regulations, preparation of private letter rulings, revenue rulings, technical advice memoranda, General Counsel memoranda, and other advice memoranda addressing tax problems submitted by taxpayers and their representatives, state and federal agencies, and other Chief Counsel and IRS offices. In addition, the Branch provides legal assistance and advice to trial attorneys in the field in connection with actions on decisions, preparation of briefs, handling of unusual technical problems, preparation for the trial of cases involving complicated technical issues, and problems related to appeal recommendations in Tax Court and refund cases. As a General Attorney (Tax) - Senior Technician Reviewer, you will:

• Act as a legal and technical consultant to the Branch Chief, Deputy Associate Chief Counsel, Associate Chief Counsel, and, as assigned, to other officials in the Office of Chief Counsel on some of the most difficult, important, and complex professional legal and policy matters concerned with the work of the Branch, or which may affect the work of other Branches of the office, or other components of the Chief Counsel's Office. Matters involve detailed and extensive research on complicated legal problems and the development of recommendations as to the positions to be taken by the Branch and the Office. Considers questions that have broad legal ramifications and renders appropriate decisions. As part of the position, you will work with the founders, Ivy League and Oxbridge graduates and other high-performing teammates.

Job Duties

• Handle enquiries, present our programmes, match appropriate tutors and mentors.

• Arrange class schedules and feedback for students and tutors

• Assist in invoicing and payments

• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and partners, manage external agencies and clients to boost sales

• Assist in marketing content curation for above and below the line marketing activities (Blog articles, Instagram, Tik Tok, Videos, Website, Brochures, Wechat, Xiaohongshu)

Job Requirements

• Must be residing in Singapore, all nationalities welcome

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong research and analytical skills

• Keen eye for detail

• Good attitude to learn and improve

• Strong time management and organisation skills

• Task-oriented, conscientious in task documentation

• Strong sense of responsibility in fulfilling tasks well and in accordance with deadlines

• Ability to work independently and as a team

• Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Chinese (Command of Korean and Japanese are welcomed as well) as some customers only speak these languages

• Analytical skills

- You’ll learn to analyse the latest market trends and conduct consumer research

- You’ll be able to determine areas of opportunities or improvement of our brand’s product/service

• Develop your communication skills and handle enquiries of high net worth parents from an international clientele

• Coordinate with specialists and conduct briefings and training

• Build your leadership skills

• Oversee brand strategies and activities

• Lead the creative development of brand strategies

• Take ownership and ensure that brand activities align consistently with the company’s mission and vision

Additional Details

- Working Days: 5 Days

- Working Hours: 1000AM-7PM for Weekdays,1030AM-530PM for Weekends*

- Salary: $3500-$4500 per month. Additional performance and team bonuses apply
