Casual Car Documentation - The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use.
DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Clearance - This post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for a Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Manchester Local Care Organisation (MLCO) is seeking to recruit a Service Manager to lead the Manchester Equipment and Adaptations, Community Alarm and Technology Enabled Care TEC and Retained Advice services and lead the Technology Enabled Care strategy across ASC and the MLCO.
The Service Manager Manchester Equipment and Adaptations Partnership is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of a range of services that deliver early interventions to citizens along with leading the development of TEC to prevent, reduce and delay long term packages of care. Technology Enabled Care is an exciting and growing area of support that is already proving to be making a meaningful difference to citizen’s lives by giving people more independence, and so far, saving £0.33 million in avoided homecare costs.
The role provides a unique opportunity to lead and develop/further evolve with the future development of integrated services, supporting statutory requirements of ASC as part of the MLCO. The successful candidate will take a leading role in enabling services within their portfolio to develop to meet the strategic intent of MCC and MCLO and help colleagues to consider how we can better meet the needs of our communities.

The successful candidate will utilise their experience of working with services, teams, and individuals to support citizens with a range of needs to ensure the best outcomes and best experience within available resources. They will use their influence and knowledge to encourage and lead meaningful system wide change.
