The Role
Processing Centre Administrator – Dingwall - Full-Time; 40 hours per week - £23,795.20 per annum.

You will join a small professional team and help drive the development of a newly formed RIES Office. The new RIES Office brings together staff, support and management functions from across the University, to provide an integrated, efficient, and coherent support and management service for the funding submission and award lifecycle. The RIES Office team will provide expert advice, guidance and operational support for the entire university RKE portfolio. Reporting to the Head of the Research Innovation and Enterprise Support (RIES) office, the Research Funding and Support Officer manages and supports all the administrative processes involved in identifying, applying to, securing and setting up external research funds. Acting as the main point of contact for key sponsors, researchers wishing to submit funding proposals and collaborating Institutions wishing to establish agreements, you will be expected to develop a sound working knowledge of the sponsors who support research within the University. About the role

This is a national role and an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to use their current IT skills and develop new analytical and data skills to make a real difference for people experiencing care across Scotland. You will support the Intelligence team in delivering key analytical support to our strategic inspection programmes, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team of Care Inspectorate colleagues and those from external agencies.

You will support the Intelligence team in providing an analytical function throughout the inspection process through the improvement and maintenance of data collection tools and by identifying and summarising key inspection findings and preparing accurate statistical reports for a range of internal and external audiences.

About you

You should be educated to SCQF level 7.

The Intelligence Team will offer training and support for the specialist software and skills required for this role. However, you will need to be confident working with raw data and comfortable working with Microsoft Excel. The successful candidate will pay close attention to detail in order to clean and validate data and identify opportunities to improve data quality.

As well as having good literacy skills, you will have an aptitude for working with facts and figures to a high degree of accuracy. Excellent IT skills are a pre-requisite, enabling you to present complex information in a meaningful way.

The Judicial Institute for Scotland have a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join them as an Education and Learning Manager on a full time, fixed term basis for 9 months with the possibility of extension thereafter.

You will work closely with the Senior Education and Learning Manager to deliver on the educational strategy and the educational philosophy of the Judicial Institute. You will be one of two Education and Learning Managers who operate in multilateral working teams and systems and will need to collaborate closely with various members of the Judicial Institute team.

You will provide learning support for the whole Judicial Institute programme of work; will have a role to play in following the full learning life-cycle in respect of judicial education courses and will be expected to think strategically and creatively within that role.

The Sheriff Appeal Court (Civil), based at Parliament House in Edinburgh have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the team as an Administrative Officer on a fixed term contract for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility of extension thereafter.

The Sheriff Appeal Court (SAC) Civil commenced in 2016, as part of the Scottish Civil Courts Reforms. The SAC (Civil) team is based in Parliament House, Edinburgh. The Court hears appeals against decisions from the sheriff courts.

Administrative Officers carry out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the court or provide support to other functions within the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service.

The Key Responsibilities

To undertake a number of general administrative duties including:

To support the Clerk of Court and Assistant Clerk in efficiently processing the work of the Sheriff Appeal Court;

To establish effective communications and working relationships with the members of the Sheriff Appeal Court bench, legal practitioners and colleagues;

To process and distribute incoming mail which comprises of parts of appeal processes and other documents;

To assist in the processing of the daily business of the SAC (Civil), including, but not limited to:
*dealing with enquiries at the public counter, via mail, telephone and email;
*liaising with the procedural Appeal Sheriff;
*processing all aspects of civil applications received by the Sheriff Appeal Court, including stated case appeals;
*accounting for fees where appropriate;
*transmission of papers to the SAC bench and Court Clerk; and
maintaining the Sheriff Appeal Court Register
