You should therefore have demonstrable experience in improving the quality of provision in an area you have led, in either a middle or senior leadership role, with a proven record of impact regarding SEN and success in achieving progress for disadvantaged students as well as strategic vision and commitment.

You would be an integral part of the Leadership Team, providing a high level of strategic, managerial and operational direction for the school, particularly in relation to the Quality of Education and will have the opportunity to impact significantly on the future direction and outcomes of the school.

About the role

Working closely with the SLT you will be providing excellent administrative and customer services to a variety of stakeholders, establishing and maintaining efficient administrative systems and processes to support the effective running of the school with a focus on operational excellence and to meet the current and future needs of the school.

About the role

We require qualified Teachers who have the ability to make a significant contribution to our school.

You will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils’ achievement and ability to develop. The pupils may display some challenging behaviour due to their different needs, so staff are required to have experience.

Job Purpose

To manage and maintain premises ensuring they are clean, secure, safe and well maintained at all times. Responsible for a wide range of duties and responsibilities connected with the fabric and grounds of the site.

Main Duties:

Locking and unlocking the buildings as required.
Setting up facilities such as chairs, tables, garden area etc.
Dealing efficiently with pre-planned maintenance, day to day establishment requirements and being reactive to problems that may arise.
Undertaking repairs to fixtures and fittings.
Ensuring all plant equipment is maintained to the required standards.
Grounds maintenance.

Porterage around the site.

Job Title: IT Support Field Engineer (Based on Site in South West of England)

Location: Bolton Head Office

JOB PURPOSE:

You will provide 2nd and 3rd line support services as part of a wider team of experienced engineers to assist with the company's progression. The post holder would be responsible for assisting, fixing and maintaining general service requests, incidents and problems for multiple sites across the South West of England, escalating where necessary and assisting the wider IT Team with investigations and rollouts of new technology.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, major incidents, problems and service requests, providing regular updates to the end user.
To be the first point of escalation for the 1st and 2nd line support engineers.
Liaise with the Software and Applications team on application problems, contributing to remediation and/or improvement plans.
Configure and maintain user permissions on Sharepoint or file servers.
Contribute to building the knowledge base, sharing knowledge across the service desk and wider IT team.
Install applications.
Administer and manage user accounts and permissions (Active Directory/Office 365/Azure AD).
Provide support for printers, both hardware and software.
Configure devices such as laptops, mobile phones, and tablets.
Manage mobile device configurations in Jamf or InTune.
Support Web filtering.
Support connectivity and hardware over multiple sites, both on site and remotely.
Support server environments.
Support of cloud telephone systems and ensure a smooth operation.
Support networking equipment such as routers and switches (Cisco Meraki & Unifi).
Acting as the first point of contact for specific sites and managing site relationships.
Work closely with the IT Service Desk Manager, to define and improve processes and Service Improvement Plans.

Liaise with 3rd Line and the Infrastructure team on infrastructure problems defining and agreeing remediation and/or improvement plans.
Conduct root cause analysis of major incidents and problem records, contributing to the implementation of remedies and preventative measures.
Manage and remediate Cyber and Infrastructure P1 incidents.

Robins Way School is a brand-new SEN school for pupils with complex needs including SEMH; a co-educational provision with entry from 5-11 years old.

Robins Way School is an exciting addition to the Acorn portfolio based in Amesbury, Wiltshire. We are looking for an inspirational lead to be the Headteacher of this new school. Robins Way School is proposed to open in June 2025, but we are looking for a Headteacher who can start January 2025 (negotiable) to lead and develop the school throughout its development.

Through your knowledge and passion, you will have a real impact on the lives of pupils and young people. As Headteacher you will provide effective leadership and management of the school that ensures the school meets its aims and objectives and operates within the overall strategy and guidelines of Acorn Education.

About the role

As a Headteacher, you will promote a relentless focus on high quality, creative learning, delivering our pupils educational needs, maximising pupil achievement, and their ability to develop.

As Headteacher you will have an infrastructure of support from central services for Finance, Resourcing, HR and IT including a network of supportive Headteachers from other schools alongside central school improvement support.

Key objectives of the role, that the Head Teacher is expected to achieve:

Outstanding outcomes for Pupils and Young People that are a reflection of their needs, abilities and aptitudes.
A safe environment that protects the welfare of Pupils and Young People and staff in the school.
Meeting all statutory requirements as defined by the DfE, Ofsted and other external bodies and achieving the highest inspection ratings possible.
A motivated staff group that is fully engaged in the goal of achieving excellence in all areas of school life and who are committed to continuing personal and professional development.
The commercial success of the school as defined by 100% occupancy, the rigorous management of costs and the development and implementation of growth plans as appropriate.
Effective strategic and operational planning, that includes self-evaluation, school improvement and delivery.
A shared vision, that fits within the overall Acorn Group strategy, which inspires and motivates students, staff and all other members of the school community.
Essential:

At least three years’ experience as a senior leader in a specialist school for pupils with complex communication needs
Qualified Teacher Status or Equivalent
Willingness to extend personal and professional development
Ability to lead and provide a clear vision
Appreciation and understanding that leadership and management of school encompasses processes contributing to pupil outcomes, staff motivation, keeping pupils safe, filling the school with pupils, managing costs, meeting regulatory requirements and applying growth plans as appropriate
Desirable:

Completion of NPQH
Experience of conducting performance management
Experience of appointing, managing and inducting staff
Experience of planning the curriculum across a range of ages and abilities

About the role

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Housekeeping Assistant to join our close-knit team at Acorn Park School, Norwich. As Housekeeping Assistant, you will help support our pupils and young people in their daily lives, ensuring our facilities are well prepared to keep them, comfortable and healthy.

This is a great opportunity to work as part of a team committed to helping pupils with varied and complex needs.

Our Housekeepers carry out an essential role to maintain the standards of cleanliness required by the pupils and young people in our care. You will take pride in ensuring domestic duties including vacuuming, mopping, rubbish removal, dusting and cleaning are carried out to the highest standards.

When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Housekeeper who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Previous experience in a similar setting would be great but isn’t essential as full training will be given, and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. These roles are ideal for people working in customer facing industries including retail, hospitality, and leisure, looking for a new role that makes a real difference to pupil’s lives and futures.

You will be quality focused, efficient, able to work at pace, and motivated to help us provide a safe, caring environment where every pupil can thrive.

About us

Acorn Park is a school for 98 pupils, who all have a primary diagnosis of Autism. We run two curriculum pathways – Formal and Semi-formal. Our Complex needs pupils are on the Semi-Formal Pathway which is highly personalised from their EHCP. We have a mixture of Day and Residential pupils as we have 8 co-located pupil’s homes on our 30 Acre site in rural Norfolk. On site, we also have a large Forest School and Animal Care Farm along with play facilities, a sports hall and sensory rooms.

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
