Learning, Teaching, and Assessment

The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy is a leading public policy school in Asia, part of the National University of Singapore. • Manage industry partners’ expectation by understanding their needs and providing realistic expectations and scope of each project
• Preparation of results for industry communications, presentations, and academic articles for journal publications
• For Research Fellow position: guide, mentor, and supervise research analysts and associates on the project team
• Work closely with the rest of the SGFIN team to support SGFIN’s activities and objectives

Requirements

• Academic background in the following subjects is preferred: finance, accounting, economics, business, sustainable/green finance, sustainability management, or related disciplines. A bachelor’s degree is required, a master’s degree in one of these subjects is preferred, with a PhD degree required for the Research Fellow position.
• Basic understanding of financial sector (banks and other financial institutions), financial markets, corporate financial statements, and credit risk analysis, is required.
• A thorough knowledge of the research field of sustainable economics or finance is highly preferred.
• Quantitative analytical and/or financial econometric skills, including knowledge of advanced statistical software packages, are highly desired, along with experience with empirical research methods, including developing, conducting and supporting research and data analysis of research projects.
• Proactive in problem solving.
• Good time management and planning skills with a commitment to delivery.
• Strong project management skills, with ability to manage several projects concurrently.
• Strong delivery management experience, with proven track records in managing and steering projects towards smooth execution and on time delivery.
• Adaptive to change with a positive work attitude.

• Project management to fulfil regulatory & audit requirement (e.g. Volcker Rule, Environment Risk Management)
• Liaise with head office (tokyo) to be align with global initiatives and report incidents to Japanese Financial Service Agency.
• Ensure the implementation of risk control frameworks and establishment of efficient risk controls across APD.
• Represent the interests of 1st line of defence control owners and handle with requests from front office such as enhancements on system / procedures.
• Collaborate closely with senior management, planning team in SNG/HO and front office to work for the re-organization, enhancement of Target Operating Model or group governance, while evaluating potential risks and challenges as necessary
• Support the preparation and coordination of meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including Executive Management Committee meetings, and regulatory inspections.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Business/Finance
• Good working knowledge of developing and implementing risk control framework
• Prior business plannning and/or control in banking
• Proficiency in Japanese is preferred as this role needs to prepare regular reports to Japanese Financial Service Agency and to liaise with Head Office
• Knowledge of Japanese Banking Law is an advantage
• Strong comunication skills (written and spoken)

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting AIDF’s research efforts by maintaining AIDF’s IT infrastructure and enhancing the Institute’s IT capabilities. This job role will include:

• Optimisation and maintenance of AIDF’s servers, hardware, websites and database subscriptions to meet our core objectives
• Provide IT infrastructure and software systems assistance for AIDF colleagues and research partners
• IT support for research and office administration
• Event support: Help with IT set-up and other tasks as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Networks and Telecommunication or related fields
• Knowledge of Basic Server Management a plus
• 2 years of minimum experience
