Job Description :

• Reports to Center Director and Director of Studies or their deputies.

Requirements:

• Maximum 30 years old with neat appearance.

The Priory Learning Trust is looking to recruit a Nursery Practitioner to work at our Little Learners Nursery at St Anne’s Church Academy in Weston-super-Mare.

Little Learners Nursery is located in the heart of West Wick within St Anne’s Church Academy. We welcome children aged 2 years and above to learn, explore and have fun through play.

St Anne’s Church Academy offers Little Learners access to wonderful facilities such as the trim trail, large dining and sports hall and the playing fields, as well as the learning street, where the children are able to access a fully equipped kitchen to partake in cooking activities.

At Little Learners Nursery we understand and celebrate the unique qualities in every child and we ensure our Nursery is an enjoyable and positive experience for all of the children in our care.


Our three classrooms, Adventurers, Explorers and Discoverers have access to outstanding resources and learning opportunities, with the outside area being an extension of the classroom. As part of this role, you will;

Contribute to the Monitoring and Evaluation processes and requirements as requested by the Nursery Manager or Deputy Managers.
Participate in ensuring Little Learners Nursery complies with the OFSTED regulations and other requirements as agreed.
Participate in maintaining the resources and equipment as required to ensure smooth and safe running of the Nursery facilities.

The successful candidate will have;

A good standard of education/3 or more GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C/Level 4 minimum;
Previous experience of working in a school or nursery setting;
Good interpersonal skills.
A full and relevant Early Years qualification to level three or above is also desirable.

This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career with Parenta Training, working in an early years setting based Croydon CR2 6NG Become an apprentice in one of our fun and friendly settings working with children aged from birth to five years gaining experience while you learn.
Parenta have many opportunities available and offer you the chance to ‘Earn as you Learn’ whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification. The best part? There are no classes to attend!
The moment your journey begins as an apprentice:
• You become an employed member of staff
• You will be paid an hourly rate
• You will work towards gaining a full qualification, getting full support and attend virtual classroom-based lessons. The apprenticeship will last a minimum of 12 months. You will be working towards a Level 2 diploma in Childcare.
· An Apprenticeship course will take between 12 to 20 months based on 30 hours worked per week. Less hours worked will increase the course duration.
· Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive the Early Years Practitioner Level 2 qualification.

Your role will include:
• Working with children between the ages of 0-5 years, organising activities, being pro-active with the help and care carried out within the early years teaching sector.
• Assisting and meeting the personal/emotional needs of individual children – Changing nappies, feeding, caring and establishing a relationship with children.
• Work (under supervision) providing all aspects of care/support to children, ensuring they take part with day- to- day learning and play activities.
• Ensure that the setting is safe, clean and well presented.
• Collaborate with colleagues ensuring the highest standards of work are carried out and are provided throughout your role in a positive manner.

ABOUT THE REGIONAL TRAINER ROLE
You will be continuously developing our new and existing staff, from Care Assistants to Home Managers, Housekeeping to Wellbeing Coordinators, ensuring the highest level of scheduled training is delivered, adapting to needs and ensuring understanding of vital subjects.
Your responsibilities will include:

Deliver mandatory training to all staff, ensuring they are confident and competent in the subject.

Support managers, administrators, and other staff with our LMS system.
Complete competency audits in the homes that are falling behind.
Support homes to ensure their training compliance is of a satisfactory level.

ABOUT YOU
