Come and help us transform support and opportunities for Bury people with learning disabilities; and autistic people! We have an exciting opportunities to join our commissioning team.

The post will:

• Be responsible for commissioning services from a range of Care Providers (e.g. for young people 18 -25 years, for people with complex and challenging behaviour).
• Contribute to; and implement commissioning strategies which deliver change (e.g. lead workshops with social workers, providers and residents to understand the needs of autistic people)
• Lead on the creation of innovative approaches to high quality, affordable and outcomes focused services (e.g. work with providers to ensure people are encouraged to develop their strengths and skills so they can live as independently as possible).

You will have a thorough knowledge of legislation governing social care; and of national and local strategies which are relevant to health and social care needs. Having a good knowledge of commissioning and strategy, you have excellent communication and negotiation skills, which will make sure that outcomes are achieved through joint working. Solution-focused, you will have experience of working with people at different levels within an organisation and also of working with complex information.Staff development includes access to coaching and development opportunities e.g. apprenticeships.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the day to day operations of the physician practice(s), including front and back office functions. (20%)
• Supervises staff, resolves problems and implements approved disciplinary action. Interviews, hires, trains and conducts performance evaluations. (20%)
• In conjunction with the director, develops the practice budget. Manages and monitors key financial and revenue cycle metrics, including staff hours, resource allocation, expense budget, patient volumes, and the revenue cycle process. Provides primary (or secondary) review of reconciliation of monies being collected and deposited. (20%)
• Responsible for monitoring patient satisfaction reports, identifying variances from standard, addressing and resolving patient complaints. (10%)
• Responsible for quality and performance improvement by monitoring metrics and addressing deficiencies. (10%)
• Works collaboratively with physicians, leadership and health professionals to accomplish organization and practice goals. (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree
• 3-5 years’ experience in physician practice setting with 2 years’ practice management experience.

Preferred

• Experience managing multiple sites.
• CPPM (Certified Physician Practice Manager) certification.

Your new company
This multi-academy trust currently comprises 10 schools, with growth plans to increase to over 50 schools in the next 5 years, experiencing huge growth, and it is therefore vital that the right individuals are employed to facilitate this growth successfully. The head office for the Trust is based in North Manchester and the individual schools will be based across the Greater Manchester area, with IT teams based at each site, as well as the central IT team at the head office. Due to the upcoming growth, the Head of IT has approached Hays seeking to appoint a Service Desk Manager to join the organisation on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of IT, the Service Desk Manager will be responsible for building a service desk function which will service all schools and the head office of the trust, encompassing incident, problem and change management, to ensure that the highest level of service is provided across the trust at all times. Joining the trust at the start of a journey, you will be responsible for building the service desk, which will involve defining the operating model across 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support, as well as recruiting and training service desk engineers. You will then be responsible for the ongoing training and development of a team of service desk engineers, ensuring they have the relevant support and training to provide an effective IT service to schools. On a daily basis, you will be liaising with key stakeholders across the organisation and ensuring that all services are provided to the highest quality, whilst ensuring all SLAs are adhered to, for example, ITIL best practices. In addition to this, you will be required to develop and maintain reports around the performance of the service desk, suggesting potential developments and improvements, as well as analysing trends. What you\'ll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you will have previous experience of managing and ideally establishing and developing a service desk, supporting multiple sites. Experience working in or with a knowledge of the education sector would also be beneficial, as well as experience adhering to ITIL practices being essential. An ambitious and proactive approach is essential as this is a role which will lead a team, as you will be required to inspire others and further develop IT engineers.
