Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury.

As a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist, you will:

• Direct the group's production of strategic and or long-term intelligence products that identify and analyze information on foreign terrorist groups, WMD proliferators, criminal and rogue regime networks, and other entities and topics of US national security interest to assess implications for U.S. interests and opportunities for U.S. policy.
• Balance competing priorities and maintain adequate production pace regarding the production of assigned projects.
• Drive intelligence collection on the group's areas of responsibility.
• Work closely with other OIA and Intelligence Community components to ensure the needs of Treasury policymakers are met and provide regular feedback on intelligence reporting.
• Be responsible for all personnel matters relating to the Group. These include but are not limited to directly supervising branch chiefs, the annual evaluation process for analysts in each branch, mentoring, training, and developing performance standards and evaluations for employees.
• Represent the Department of the Treasury and the Office of Intelligence and Analysis in senior-level internal and interagency meetings, including IC working groups on issues related to the specific areas of responsibility of the office.
• Develop partnerships with other relevant Treasury and intelligence community elements and collaborates with such partners as appropriate.

• You will provide cost estimating and analysis products and services to SSP senior leadership and branches.
• You will produce thorough, accurate estimates and analyses of cost to support milestone reviews.
• You will represent Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) on Navy-level cost process councils and stakeholder groups, as appropriate.
• You will maintain liaison with technical Branch managers and engineers, Integrated Product Team leads, and senior contractor representatives to ensure that proposals and contracts reflect accurate cost requirements.
• You will develop, review, and coordinate assigned cost estimating and analysis products and services supporting SSP Acquisition Program(s) and initiatives and other reporting requirements.
• You will develop databases and cost models comprising of both commercial off the shelf hardware and software tailored as appropriate.
• You will work with branch managers and engineers to evaluate industry partner proposals for cost realism and/or other cost related areas
• You will participate in a broad range of cost and affordability efforts, economic analyses and major study efforts directed by higher authority (e.g. ASN RDA) to identify and assess program cost and schedule growth.

• Conducts research in joint and strategic logistics and supply chain management for the Center for Joint and Strategic Logistics (CJSL).
• Develops educational material that supports the Senior Director in exercising all Center activities
• Conducts research and analysis and makes recommendations which serve as a basis for rationalizing logistics activities within the Department of Defense
• Participates within a network of DoD educational institutions to enhance joint and strategic logistics education to better understand global supply chain trends.
• Utilizes expert knowledge of joint and strategic logistics and supply chain management processes to identify and recommend study/research areas which can most effectively be undertaken by CJSL.
• Oversees obligations, commitments, and budget issues in conjunction with program or project studies of the CJSL in support of JSJ4 and OSD Sustainment.
• Conducts research on broad and undefined concepts for joint and strategic logistics, allied cooperation, logistics command and control, readiness, mobilization and other joint and strategic issues and topics identified by DoD leadership.

●    Gen AI and LLM POCs:

• Research and conduct POCs on internal applications of Gen AI such as internal chatbots based on proprietary company data.
• POCs on automating agent workflows such as call center, banking back-office tasks and BPO.

●    Applicants Identification and Verification & eKYC:

• Implement automated solutions for customer identity verification, anti-money laundering (AML) checks, and know-your-customer (KYC) compliance.
• Collaborate with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure that machine learning models meet industry standards and guidelines.
• Ensure timely and accurate due diligence processes without compromising user experience.

●    Document Text Extraction and Understanding:

• Implement image processing and OCR solutions to extract text data from user-submitted documents.
• Implement natural language processing solutions to understand extracted text data.

●    Fraud Detection:

• Develop and improve ML models to detect and prevent fraudulent activities across Finexus’ fintech platform.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and anomalies indicative of fraudulent behavior.
• Automate repetitive fraud detection activities conducted by the operations team

Key responsibilities include:

●    Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven products and solutions.

●    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and translate them into AI projects.

●    Research, evaluate, and adopt state-of-the-art AI technologies to improve existing processes and develop new capabilities. This includes the full ML development technical stack, from Data Science to MLOps.

●    Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

●    Architect scalable and robust AI systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.

●    Ensure effective communication of technical concepts and project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

●    Contribute to the data security infrastructure that keeps AI development safe, compliant, and respecting data privacy laws.

Minimum Qualifications:

●    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, preferably with a focus on Machine Learning.

●    Proven experience (> 3 years) in AI, machine learning, or related technical roles.

●    Strong programming skills in Python and Java

●    In-depth understanding of AI algorithms, neural networks, and deep learning techniques.

●    Hands-on experience with designing and implementing AI models and applications.

●    Familiar with AI libraries such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, OpenCV, kornia, scikit-learn, ONNX, etc.

●    Familiar with relational DBs e.g. PostgreSQL database.

●    Familiar with version control systems such as Git and SVN.

●    Familiar with Python frameworks such as FastAPI.

●    Familiar with Linux operating systems
