This project is funded by The Humane Research Trust CIO, Stockport, UK. It is two-year, fixed-term post-doctoral research assistant position available in the Chemoinformatics Research Group in the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences, Liverpool John Moores University.

The project will involve identifying relevant PBK models from the literature, using systematic review. Key information from the models will be curated in order to expand an existing database of physiologically-based kinetic (PBK) models. Methods used to parameterise and evaluate published models will be investigated. The project aims to optimise parameterisation of PBK models using in silico (computational) methods and to assess the predictivity of such models, by comparison to existing data. Best practice in building PBK models, using parameters derived from in silico methods will be identified and used to develop guidance. You will be expected to transfer and disseminate knowledge (internally and externally) and to assist in the management and reporting of the project.

You should have, or expect to obtain soon, a PhD in the field of Physiologically-Based (Pharmaco)Kinetic (PBK/PBPK) Modelling. Experience may have been obtained in developing or applying PBK models in the areas of pharmacology, toxicology (human or environmental), food science, cosmetic science, or another relevant field.

Main purpose of the role

To work with teachers as part of a professional team to support teaching and learning for SEN pupils. Providing learning support to pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning, such as those with moderate, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and/or behavioural, social, communication, sensory or physical disabilities.

It is the primary objective of this post is to service delivery and patient care for medically compromised children as part of a Team of Paediatric Dentists, Orthodontists and Maxillo-Facial Surgeons at AHFT. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties Clinical The Core Trainee will be supported by a team of 4 consultants in Paediatric Dentistry and 3 consultants in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the Department, providing treatment for craniofacial and medically compromised children, in addition to those having attended through A&E with acute orofacial trauma or infection. Clinical services will be provided with a high level of expertise in diagnosis, treatment planning and management of the dental needs of children. Teaching & Academic role Participate in teaching opportunities within the department. Develop research interests in their area of interest and expertise. Managerial responsibilities Participate in clinical governance meetings. CPD, Audit & Clinical Governance Participate in CPD activity for which financial support is available. Initiate and undertake appropriate audits as required within the department. Take part in the clinical governance programme.

You will have a degree (or equivalent) in pharmacy or related clinical discipline and ideally an independent prescriber qualification. You will also have substantial teaching experience in clinical pharmacy related areas, within the MPharm programme and postgraduate Independent Prescribing. Experience in developing, delivering and assessing activities related to experiential learning as well as supervision of pharmacy students on placements would be advantageous.

You will be expected to make significant contributions to the Master of Pharmacy programme and pharmacy related postgraduate programmes, as well as other undergraduate and postgraduate programmes appropriate to your expertise. You will also be expected to actively engage in the development of new undergraduate and post-graduate programmes in relation to your discipline.
