JOB SUMMARY

This job provides Epic application software development management for IT projects. Creates plans and manages activities, within an assigned unit/area. Assesses viability of current direction/projects/operations and recommends strategies and tactics to satisfy current and future business needs. Foresees organizational impacts and understands the procedures associated with introducing new technologies.   Leads team in the areas of scheduling, direction, future planning and standard practices. Monitors and controls quality while actively seeking opportunities for improvement. Establishes and meets scheduled milestones for deliverables.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization by:

• Managing customer and expectations; facilitating, planning and meetings; translating customer expectations for staff and peers; representing Highmark with outside entities.
• Preparing written procedures, policies, reports and correspondence; collaborating and negotiating with departments corporate wide.

2 Management Consulting

• Identify issues and recommend solutions.

• Liaising with clients to keep them informed of progress and to make relevant decisions.
• Advise clients on options, risks, cost vs benefit, impact on other business processes and system priorities.

3. Ensure continuous improvement of processes and delivery of results within assigned unit/area. 

• Organize, direct and coordinate cross-functional activities including staff not under direct managerial control.
• Encourage innovation and focus resources to ensure successful delivery of desired results.
• Apply quantitative risk assessment to team's assignments to understand potential threats and the probability they will occur.
• Lead team in mitigating risks and applying appropriate contingency plans to ensure minimal impacts to customers.

4. Provide leadership to the organization to respond to business opportunities/challenges, new technologies, legislation and other environmental factors. 

• Oversee analysis of issues or needs and review recommended solutions.
• Assess the impact of strategic business and technical changes on the environment.
• Responsible for managing all activities within an assigned business unit/area.
• Foresee organizational impacts and understand the procedures associated with introducing new technologies, while seeking ways to collaborate with other teams outside area of responsibility to facilitate transitions.

5. Optimize the utilization of resources by applying appropriate concepts, technologies and workflows

• Coordinate ESRD patient care and services (trend lab values, track metrics on vital signs, weight, outcome management, etc.)

This position is responsible to drive enGen technology and service sales.  The incumbent is responsible for developing a sales strategy to ensure meeting or exceeding sales and profitability goals across enGen.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive Sales within enGen:
  Work with sales tools, resources, and support to drive new growth for enGen.
  Drive opportunities for cross-selling across technology ad services.
  Lead the full sales lifecycle from business development, opportunity identification, new client engagement, pricing/proposal development, negoitation, and closing the opportunities
  Meet with and brokering new sales busienss discussions with new clients with alignment/interest around the enGen technology
  Establish sales strategy for assigned relationships in alignment with enGen's corporate strategies.
  Generate new ideas, create competitive advantages, and evaluate/select strategies to increase market penetration and profitability.
  Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with prospective and new clients. 

• Develop and execute a Sales strategy:
  Develop region-wide sales priorities, objectives and sales plans to meet or exceed team sales and profitability goals.
  Develop and execute on a busienss development strategy across our products and services
  Collaborate with the marketing department, to conduct market opportunity assessments to increase market penetration.
  Work with enGen product teams, marketing, and sales operations to document and maintain competitive information and market insights to assist in strategy discussions.
  Collaborate with Underwriting to develop sales solutions to address market challenges and leverage opportunities.
  Participate in the development of new products and the planning of corporate-wide sales strategy.

• Fulfill Management Administrative Duties:
  Participate in annual planning and budgeting activities.
  Perform detailed fact finding, document, coordinate, and manage sales information.
  Provide reports to show progress and levels of activity toward attaining sales and profitability goals in assigned territory.
  Act as a technology and Health Plan expert and consultant prospective clients across the Blues, Health Plans, and Providers.
  Participate on teams and committees to develop and recommend strategies related to product development, pricing, marketing, etc. 
  Document service, expense, and related activity as appropriate.

• Financial Forecasting:
  Develop a financial forecasting plan based on the sales opportunities projected over the next 3-years
  Maintain our sales pipeline via a sales management system for executive communication and opportunity progression

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for leading a team of creative resources to design, test, and deliver digital user experiences that support Highmark's strategic roadmap. This individual will lead a team responsible for delivering cohesive, customer-centric marketing experiences across our digital channels, including web, mobile, social, email, SMS, etc, creating useful and usable digital solutions that solve the problems of our most critical customers, including members, shoppers, producers, employers, and site visitors. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works closely with key stakeholders at all levels to understand business objectives and guide User Experience (UX) design teams in developing customer-centric digital solutions that meet those business objectives for multiple customers, including members, shoppers, producers, employers, and visitors.  Facilitate understanding of business requirements through planning, execution, and documentation of design research deliverables including personas, user stories, journey maps, etc.
• Develops, evolves, and communicates UX strategies, standards, processes, and best practices. This includes creating, socializing and implementing design patterns and digital UI/UX/Visual standards, working with IT to "codify" design patterns/widgets, monitoring industry trends and competitive trends, and establishing governance over design practices. Presents to and educates senior executives on UX strategy and tactics. 
• Works closely with Market Research, agencies, and other internal stakeholders to set KPIs, test digital designs, and measure success. Ensures a test-and-learn approach related to digital design, serving as an internal spokesperson for iterative human-centered design practices and ongoing monitoring and measurement. 
• Lead and contribute to the planning, execution, and documentation of interaction design and information architecture deliverables such as site maps, workflows, user interaction models, low- through high-fidelity prototypes, mockups, and other necessary visual assets. Oversees partners delivering UX design on Highmark's behalf and ensures adherence to overarching UX strategies and digital patterns. 
• Evaluates new software or technology capabilities, assesses vendor solutions, creates and manages ongoing partnerships with third parties such as digital agencies, software vendors, BCBSA, and other key vendors.
• Performs management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. 
• Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the department; develops and implements policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority.
