The role

Day-to-day, you'll ensure Health and Safety Standards are consistently met across the HPC project.

• Champion the HPC Way and its core pillars, promoting a culture of safety.
• Play a key role in the integrated Health & Safety team, providing expert advice.
• Monitor and inspect working practices, including conducting site inspections and reporting trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with Tier 1 contractors and the Principal Contractor.
• Provide specialist advice on HSE topics, ensure compliance with MEH policies, and manage incident response.

This role is full time 37 hours per week, and is based on site at Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater, Somerset.

Essential experience of the Health, Safety and Environment Advisor

• Significant experience gained within a construction background.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, to effectively explain HSE procedures and expectations to diverse audiences.
• Experience in the nuclear industry is desirable.

Qualifications for the HSE Advisor

• NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, or equivalent.
• Membership in IOSH or a similar professional body is desirable.

What does the role involve?

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will prepare, restore and maintain areas and equipment for clinical treatments and investigations, as well as generally ensuring that the treatment environment is safe for patients, relatives and visitors.

This is an active role which involves extensive walking between patients throughout the clinic and some lifting responsibilities. However, we will provide regular training and guidance, so that you can develop your knowledge of company practice, procedures and quality management. Whilst on probation all contracts will be a minimum of 24 gym floor hours, this is to ensure you earn a guaranteed minimum salary. Your earning will increase as you establish your PT clients and improve your earning potential.

PT sessions have a sliding scale, the more you deliver the more your take home earning potential is.
