Job Description

Offer an assessment service to patients presenting at the emergency and paediatric departments with broad range of mental health and psychological problems, and psychiatric illnesses
Providing a mental health consultation, liaison and advice service throughout the departments
Delivering a range of evidence based psychological interventions to individual patients aged 11-15 who have predominantly self-harmed
Assisting and supporting general hospital colleagues in making decisions about treatment and care in complex situations
Providing formal and informal education and clinical supervision to registered and unregistered staff
Representing mental health services within Hospitals Trust
Providing a communication structure between secondary mental health services, primary care and non-statutory services, as a means of ensuring the highest possible standards patients care

As a band 6 Tissue Viability Nurse you will be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of care as part of the Tissue Viability Team, in support of and under the supervision of the lead nurse in the team. You will have a passion for tissue viability and we will help you develop your knowledge in the planning and evaluation of wound care. You will be supported in the planning, delivering and evaluation of education around tissue viability.
