Our HR & Office Management function centralises around the safety, development and engagement of our People across all of our office locations. We define and deliver People related processes to support the employee lifecycle, working closely with managers to provide them with the tools they need in order to support their teams. The function plays a critical role in driving employee engagement and is responsible for designing and delivering wellbeing initiatives to foster a thriving, diverse and inclusive work culture for all.
We are hiring a Head of Human Resources who will drive the development of our India people strategy, ensuring alignment with the business' organisational and people needs. In addition to being the India Regional Head of HR, this mandate includes partnering with our Global Technology, Operations & other business functions. This role will report to the Chief People Officer of FE fundinfo UK, and will interact directly with many of our CXO members.
Your key responsibilities as a Head of Human Resources will be to:
- Lead the people management functional agenda - lead people and change management projects, through building strong business relationships with the relevant business unit management and employees and other internal clients
- Advise the functional lead on organisational design - ensuring the right capabilities are in the right place to deliver our business
- Take responsibility for the leadership and successful execution of several key HR projects within the Strategic HR Business Plan as it relates to the functions
- Ensure that the business attracts, develops and retains high quality talent, at all levels in a continuous pipeline, to support the growth objectives, opportunities and strategies of the business
- Manage performance in the respective function and ensure all employee relations issues are dealt with in the best manner, educating the business to take accountability and manage risk
- Work in close partnership with the local HR Managers and other HR teams in order to provide an efficient and quality service to the business, ensuring we get the basics right every time and to get fair and up to date market understanding
- Manage a small HR and office management team, providing effective coaching and mentoring, as well as promoting professional development
- Ensure HR processes are followed in accordance with global practice and design and review and/or implement local processes where necessary
- Provide HR metrics and key KPIs to the Chennai leadership team to facilitate discussion and decision making in regards to HR matters
To join us as a Head of Human Resources you will need the following experience and skills:
- You must extensive experience within HR in an international, matrix-structured organisation
- You must have experience working in a fintech or related industry
- You must have experience of working with and influencing executive and management level partners, consulting on employee relations, leadership development, change management and related strategies
- You must have the ability to guide, lead and coach a team through the HR journey
- You will have experience in defining, upgrading and transitioning processes
- You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
- You must have strong knowledge of local labour laws and best practice
- You must be fluent in the development and use of metrics for business decision making
- You will have experience in juggling multiple initiatives at one time, with the ability to prioritise accordingly
