Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an HR Technology Director located in Midland, Michigan or Houston, Texas!

About You and This Role

In this role, you will define and deliver the HR digital strategy, supporting a model that drives Dow's Employee Experience. You will identify, prioritize, and recommend strategic investments in technology improvements aligned to corporate IT strategy. You will define technology performance metrics and key performance indicators based on leading practices and the desired employee experience and be accountable for the performance and results of the HR IT discipline, guided by the overall HR and IT strategies.  You will manage relationships to generate and initiate value-add capabilities and delivery with HR processes and technology to achieve desired results. You will drive automation and digitalization of HR processes with key stakeholders from HR and our internal clients, ensuring that HR can deliver efficiently and effectively to move our HR data and analytics strategy forward.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global HR technology team to uplift HR services using contemporary digital solutions
• Understand business needs, collect client feedback and support improvement in processes through the effective utilization of HR technology to drive business goals and best-in-class employee experience
• Provide input into the functional strategy, own and drive the short and long-term HR digital strategy with strong emphasis on direct access adoption, automation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure HR technology delivery to enable best-in-class execution
• Define, manage, and own the HR technology support model including end user support and relevant HR Technology administration
• Manage relationships between HR and relevant internal and external partners, including the global CIO organization, Diamond Systems Solutions and key suppliers, to ensure alignment and improve the effectiveness of HR technology decision making
• Own and lead the investment strategy, plan and process for HR technology collaboration with business and functional partners as well as DSS Business Process Directors and overall DSS Leadership Team
• Accountable for business case development, effectively articulating projects in terms of their overall benefits, costs, strategic alignment and risk
• Collaborate with IT Systems Architects to ensure systems architecture supports and align with the business process and opportunities defined within the investment plan
• Work proactively with the business to understand the future HR process and technology needs and produce ways of capturing and analyzing this information to provide relevant input to business
• Set HR systems integration strategies to support M&A transactions

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in HR or Information Technology fields
• A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Job Title:  Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Coordinator

The HRIS Coordinator assists with the development, testing, and modification of the human resources information system (HRIS), Workday, in addition to supporting other applications. This position will work with a team that supports the Lindenwood Education System to ensure optimization of Workday, its processes, data, and reporting. 

The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Job Responsibilities and Execution

• Designs, develops, configures, and tests simple to complex business processes, reports, dashboards, and system updates within Workday
• Monitors new system functionality and assists team in implementing new features and updates for the Education System
• Generates reports as requested, guides team and leaders in accessing and running reports, and maintains the HRIS report database  
• Supports the Education System by providing system support, helping to resolve issues, and researching alternative options or methods to resolve or enhance system workflows
• Serves as first-level response for HRIS and learning management system inquiries; troubleshoots issues
• Monitors workflows, integrations, and system usage; escalates issues to the HRIS manager as needed; supports manager in ensuring system effectiveness and efficiency
• Participates in and supports cross-functional projects and ensures timely completion of assigned responsibilities

Service Excellence

• Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
• Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
• Designs user guides and videos and provides end-user system training as needed 

Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration

• Assists HR team and System leaders with ensuring data integrity and analyzing dashboards and reports for accuracy and efficiency
• Leverages professional HRIS groups to stay informed of system functionality, best practices, and feature updates
• Supports the System and HRIS manager in configuring and testing new functionality and system changes
• Understands how the HRIS system interacts with other University systems and processes; collaborates across departments as needed to ensure efficient integrations and accurate data

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ related experience
• Experience with Workday HCM; cloud-based HR tool experience a plus

Reporting to the Director - Employee Services and Human Capital (HC) systems, the Manager - HC technology leads the HC technology team towards excellence in managing our technology ecosystem, with a focus on exceptional employee experience, operational efficiency and the achievement of our organizational objectives.

What’s involved in this role:

• Oversee and manage our HC technology ecosystem, ensuring its proper functioning and efficiency in supporting HC operations and administration, including payroll

• Provide outstanding tier 2 and 3 support for HC systems questions and incidents, ensuring SLAs are met and user satisfaction is maximized

• Working with the HC Teams, identify opportunities for enhancements and find innovative strategies that continuously improve systems, optimize processes and streamline operations

• Contribute to developing an HC technology roadmap that aligns with the organization's HC and business goals.  Execute and continuously refine the roadmap.

• Manage day to day relationships with HC technology vendors, and ensure service levels are met.

What you need to join our team:

• Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 4 years of team management experience

• Workday experience a must.  Kronos, UKG Dimension or other time tracking software experience a plus.
