We have an exciting opening for an Onboarding Assistant to join our HR Team. This role will be responsible to support our Onboarding team and conducting employment checks of new starters from the beginning of the process through to the end as well as other general HR activities.
You must have a hands-on approach, able to process information quickly and effectively to achieve our targets. And you must love working in a fun and rewarding environment especially when things go crazy.
So, who we are looking for... We are looking for someone who is up for the challenge and does not mind working under pressure. Someone who is a real 3D thinker as the job sometimes requires looking at an issue from every angle and come up with a solution but still comply with the BS7858 vetting standard.
Information:
Position: Onboarding Assistant
Location: Lewisham, South East London
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday - 08:30 to 17:00 (flexibility required)
The Ideal Candidate:
A minimum of 2 years experience within Administration, Onboarding or HR.
Good IT skills in outlook, word and excel.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
Ability to work on own initiative and part of a team.
Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
Able to work towards tight deadlines, taking responsibility of your areas of work.
Good timekeeping & attendance.
Accountabilities:
Onboarding:
Carry out the security vetting of new employees in accordance with BS7858:2019 requirements using the PASS online system.
Liaising closely with the operational management team and providing regular updates on the progress of the candidates.
Conduct Identity, Right to Work, DBS checks for all new starters.
Arrange for new starters to attend Company induction including all on boarding documents.
Update Timegate as per HR requirements, including new starter details.
Maintain HR spreadsheets with daily updates.
To manage of the on boarding of new staff.
Issuing Contracts of Employment.
Processing security ID cards.
Processing all new starter on boarding paperwork to the payroll team.
Contributing to the HR monthly report.
HR Administration:
Provide administration support during TUPE mobilisations, this includes attending TUPE consultation meetings.
Support the HR team with producing letters and other administration tasks if and when required.
Assist with recruitment when needed (sifting, open days, offer letters, documents).
Any other ad hoc duties.
