Your new role
This is an all-round, client-facing practice role which will enable you to undertake accounts and tax planning work alongside involvement in the development of more junior staff. You will play a crucial role in the future development of the firm and will have clear scope to develop your skills and experience and progress your career in the long term. Within this position you will work with a varied portfolio preparing statutory and management accounts, liaising regularly with your clients both in person and over the phone. You will work with sole traders, partnerships and limited companies building and maintaining excellent relationships.

What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate for this position will be confidently able to prepare accounts from start to finish and will have gained a good grounding within an accountancy practice environment over the past few years. Individuals with professional accountancy qualifications (ACA/ ACCA/ AAT) alongside those who are QBE or currently studying will also be considered.
Great systems skills and the ability to communicate effectively and build excellent client relationships will also be key.

Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Operational Support Officer (Grade I). As a Senior Operational Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of our organization. This includes coordinating and assessing operational processes, analyzing data, and providing support to various departments. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is proactive, analytical, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for operational issues, providing support and guidance to department heads and staff members.
Coordinate and monitor operational processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
Analyze data and generate reports to assess operational performance and identify trends and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline operational workflows and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with operational support software and tools.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals, to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates
• Proactively engage with passive candidates and build talent pipelines for critical roles within the company
• Develop strong working relationships with Hiring Managers in the business driven by regular communication
• Oversee and take ownership of the complete recruitment life cycle, from taking the initial job brief, advertising, screening candidates, arranging interviews, and offering or regretting candidates
• Coordinate and facilitate interviews with hiring managers, providing guidance and support throughout the selection process when needed 
• Partner with HR and Hiring Managers to facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company and alignment with company culture and values
• Admin responsibilities, collecting references, writing interviews, and any other admin tasks

• Minimum of three years of experience in talent acquisition, ideally within the F&B sector
• Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, volume recruitment, and candidate assessment methods
• Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, and other recruitment software
• In-depth understanding of the Hong Kong labor market
• Strong sense of accountability
