Major duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain position management in HR Smart to ensure positions are not over allocated or miscoded.
• Use evaluative and analytical techniques to identify, analyze, and resolve problems within the position management and staffing arena through use of information systems.
• Create, update, and maintain information for all VA positions, whether incumbered or vacant.
• Conduct periodic data cleanses to ensure accuracy and currency (i.e., auditing HR·Smart positions against approved organizational strength).
• Advise HR staff and stakeholders regarding organizational Position Management and the efficient use of positions.
• Verify authorized Position Description (PD) numbers on organizational charts and performs position builds, as needed.
• Serve as a SME for position changes involving organizational reorganizations and/or realignments;
• Monitor and update vacancies for recruitment and strategic planning purposes.
• Independently correct completed actions on a routine basis.
• Troubleshoot errors independently and complete a thorough analysis of records.
• Correct any discrepancies prior to data entry for updating.
• Answer requests for retroactive HR actions that require tracing position history.
• Examine and processes position changes related to a variety of personnel action requests including but not limited to accessions, reassignments, and promotions.
• Route errors to the appropriate staff when discrepancies are found, and provide information to assist in correcting the discrepancy.
• Audit position data in various modules of the system.

Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.

• Coordinate and/or deliver training on a variety of topics ranging from leadership development, compliance, or specific technical training focused on the general associate population.

• Ensure legal compliance by observing and implementing applicable federal and state employment requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; and representing the organization in external employment related matters such as hearings.

• Ensure timely administration of HR-related documents in accordance with established guidelines so that HR related matters are administered quickly and accurately and in compliance.

• As a member of the site leadership team, participate in related meetings and represent/review local business needs, policies, guidelines, and associate interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

• 5+ years of Human Resource experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a site HR Manager and/or Partner to line operations.

• Prior working experience in an industrial environment with a large hourly population.

• Experience with union avoidance

• Experience in supply chain and specifically distributions centers a plus.

• Proven track record with HRIS and Microsoft platforms. Workday knowledge a plus.

• HR certification/license is desired.

Overall objective:
To migrate all remaining Exchange objects and services off the three legacy exchange environments, and onto M365 or a new Azure AD based exchange environment, This will allow the services to be de-commissioned, and allow for Data Centre Exit in line with current contractual obligations


Role
To work as part of a team delivering multiple, inter-related pieces of work in parallel to achieve the objective above. Working as part of the wider Service Migration workstream of which this part.


Essential Experience
* Experience and knowledge of Exchange-related projects and / or data migration projects
* Building and managing relationships with business customers
* Working as part of a large digital transformation programme


Responsibilities Include
* Managing multiple small / medium projects in parallel
* Management of third party suppliers against their statements of work
* Task manage and co-ordinate multiple third parties suppliers / internal resource groups to deliver against a single plan
* Working with business customers to ensure that operational impacts are minimised and managed
* Ensuring third parties comply with group policies and guidelines (including, but not limited to compliance with Security Vetting requirements)
* Standard project management and control processes and reporting
