The Registered Nurse - Nurse Recruiter is responsible for providing proficient, evidence-based practices in relation to recruitment and retention for the medical center and CBOC's. The Nurse Recruiter serves as the key member in delivering and improving the processes of recruitment, onboarding, and retention of Registered Nurses, Practical Nurses, and Nursing Assistants. The Incumbent will use nursing practice, clinical knowledge, and data to assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate recruitment and retention efforts of nursing staff.

The Nurse Recruiter must identify highly qualified talent for their facilities who aligns with the mission of caring for Veterans by utilizing clinical knowledge, skills, and abilities to personalize the experience for the candidate, improve the recruitment and retention experience for all stakeholders' and deliver compassionate nurses ready to provide care.

Job Duties Include but are not limited to:

• Seek to develop strategic partnership with internal(facility leadership, current nursing staff, HR) and external (colleges, universities, associations) stakeholders to garner an applicable pipeline of candidates.
• Utilizes clinical practice to assess the knowledge and experience of the candidate to assure they are in alignment with the outlined job requirements.
• Possess knowledge and experience of the candidate requirements and will clarify information to ensure a best fit for the candidate and the organization.
• Utilize the nursing process to continually improve the nursing candidate's onboarding experience to ensure candidate's clinical experience and expertise aligns with the agency's mission.
• Analyze recruitment and retention data to assist the facility with development of nursing workforce strategies and initiatives.
• Proactively work with the Nurse Managers to develop retention strategies, fostering a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of healthcare professionals.
• Function as a collaborator in assisting the improvement processes, programs, resources, and services related to recruitment and retention.
• Maintain databases, prepares, reports, and works collaboratively with others to assess variances and project needs.
• Work collaboratively with nursing administration, leadership, and Human Resources Management Service to meet resource needs.
• Utilize guidance in developing recommendations for systems and/or resource changes that will serve to improve the workforce and resource utilization.

Job Description

The Ares team is seeking a Human Resources Project Manager to manage major initiatives for the Human Resources organization. This position will report directly to the Head of the HR PMO.  The individual in this role will play a critical function in supporting a project management strategy and approach across the HR organization.  This role will also manage a series of cross-functional projects for the HR department, as well as representing HR in broader engagements for the organization. The ideal candidate for this role will be flexible yet structured and will have a demonstrated track record of effective project management.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Partner with the Head of the HR PMO and the HR Leadership team by providing project management and execution support to achieve the desired goals.
• Coordinate and collaborate with HR team members across multiple locations to plan and implement initiatives and projects of all sizes.
• Develop detailed project plans from the ground up using SmartSheet, MS Project, Excel or other project planning software.
• Develop project tools, including, weekly status reports, intake form, project charter, leadership briefings, etc. and define optimal approach to collect and share this information.
• Project manage internal critical initiatives such as mergers & acquisitions and new office location openings.
• Manage HR projects, applying proven project management processes to ensure successful outcomes. This includes managing and documenting resource allocation, budget, tracking of project status, timeline, risks, dependencies, issues, and communication of project updates to senior stakeholders across the firm.
• Support projects and key HR stakeholders by conducting analysis, assessing risk, determining cost benefit, identifying cross-project impact and dependencies, proposing solutions / options, developing presentations, coordinating and facilitating meetings, working sessions and workshops.
• Support annual Program and Project management planning.
• Ensure allocation of resources in accordance to priority; track and provide full transparency on actions, budgets, and results.
• Advise and participate in change management plans and execution.
• Align to HR PMO governance, structure, tools and templates, and further HR PMO maturity by contributing ideas and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Master’s Degree preferred 

Experience Required:  

• 7+ years’ experience in a role with a focus on program/project management and HR
• Proven experience leading large-scale HR projects at a global organization from inception through implementation
• Previous consulting experience preferred
• PMP and / or HR certification is preferred
• Strong MS Project and/or Smartsheet abilities preferred
• Experience providing updates to senior leaders, including C-suite executives
• Experience building and generating project tools and roadmaps
• Current industry leading practice expertise regarding project management and HR
• Must be an excellent communicator (oral and written)
• Ability to engage and contribute to a highly collaborative working environment with both functional and technical team members
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

What You’ll Be Doing

Our Talent Acquisition team delivers best-in-class experiences to enable CIBC to attract top talent. As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ll proactively source, identify and assess external talent, hiring strong talent and leaders who can help us deliver an exceptional client and employee experience.  You will primarily support CIBC’s US Capital Markets businesses by developing strategic talent attraction strategy, sourcing plans, and actively recruiting high quality candidates who can effectively support business plans and goals.

Successful team member will build a pipeline of candidates, establish connections and networks to prospect talent both online and other. Coordinate the full life cycle of recruitment.

Work with ED, US Talent Acquisition and HRBPs to manage, negotiate, provide oversight, and administration support throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.  Educate, consult and transfer knowledge of global staffing processes/policies to the US HR team and/or US hiring managers.

How You’ll Succeed

• Develop & implement strategic sourcing plans, utilizing social media, applicant tracking systems (Workday), strategic events, traditional marketing and campaigns. Identify strategies and sourcing channels to build a pipeline of diverse and qualified candidates for this line of business.

• Establish connections, maintain and leverage a professional online and social media presence, and prospect talent through your network.

• Research and design talent market maps to support business requirements.

• Coordinate full life cycle of U.S. recruitment (end-to-end); for a variety of positions and at all levels; in addition to other ad-hoc resourcing projects and initiatives for the U.S. region.

• Keep up to date on labor market trends and competitor information, providing business partners with insights and recommendations that will improve the quality of external hires. Build deep subject matter expertise in your portfolio to better forecast and influence hiring plans and decisions.

• Partner with HR Business Partners to effectively manage, negotiate, and provide oversight throughout the entire recruitment process for new hires.

• Act as a subject matter expert for U.S. recruiting metrics; manage and maintain candidate/applicant tracking databases, posting requirements; any on-line technology requirements; new hire tracking; etc.

• Direct and partner with administrative support throughout the interview and approval processes; prepare and review offer letters (global hiring practices are adopted where applicable).

• Liaise with internal HR immigration team where necessary.

• Coordinate onboarding activities.

Who You Are

• Minimum 5 years’ recruitment/sourcing experience (lateral experience required) in a high volume, fast paced corporate environment within the financial industry

• Outstanding client service orientation and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with all levels of management in a complex reporting matrix environment

• Strong interviewing and assessment skills

• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter

• Experience with Peoplesoft and other HR systems – Workday, an asset

This role has an expected salary range of $70,000-$85,000 for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
