We are looking for a Head of Human Resources to lead our employee relations, recruitment and workforce wellbeing teams across the Trust. The role will report to the Deputy Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development.

You will demonstrate confident, values-led operational HR knowledge to coach and support a team of people professionals in all aspects of the Head of HR portfolio.

As an experienced HR professional, you will offer the following:
• Recent experience of delivering a customer and values-focused HR service at a senior level, providing advice on a range of complex employee relations issues including informal resolution and Just Culture, disciplinary, grievance, attendance support, organisational change and TUPE
• Experience of leading a team with the ability to coach, motivate and build sound working relationships
• Experience of working effectively with trade union colleagues
• Ability to develop personal credibility with leaders and stakeholders at all levels and influence outcomes
• Ability to think conceptually and pragmatically in problem solving
• Strong project management and work planning skills and ability to deliver objectives to deadlines
• Ability to effectively handle conflict and work collaboratively with others to seek a joint resolution
• Strong interpersonal skills with effective influencing style and proven ability to handle complex and difficult issues.

About the Role:

As a Recruitment Assistant, you’ll report to our Enquiries Manager and Recruitment Lead, ensuring the recruitment processes follow company policies and are executed accurately and on time. You will be the first point of contact for recruitment enquiries, communicating daily with candidates and clients to discuss roles, answer queries, conduct screenings, arrange interviews, and schedule client meetings. This role will involve coordinating all aspects of the recruitment function, so excellent communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.


Requirements

What We’re Looking for in a Recruitment Assistant:

Friendly and empathetic, with strong listening skills to understand the needs of both candidates and clients
Exceptional written and verbal English skills
Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR
Comfortable engaging with candidates and clients, with a professional telephone manner
Strong IT skills and familiarity with office systems
Desirable: Experience within Health & Social Care or a similar sector


The Recruitment Assistant role is based at our head office in Chesterfield, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
