Job Purpose: The Resource Specialist receives ships/mails, restocks, fulfills requisitions, delivers/transport materials, assists with inventory and supports materials needs of the hospital system, while maintaining a clean, safe environment. Demonstrates mastery of computerized inventory. Acts as a liaison between Corporate Materiel Management and Logistics departments, communicating problems and requirements.
 
  • Associates degree in Business or related fields a plus
  • May substitute 3 years of inventory management experience
  • Valid Texas Driver's License
 
Your Job Responsibilities :
 
  • Accurately enters patient charges and inventory transactions via PMM, Intellishelf and Meditech systems.

  • Delivers and picks up supplies, lab specimens, equipment, mail, data reports and other items, adhering to a preplanned schedule, including STAT orders.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge and understanding of inventory principles and acts in accordance with set standards and in coordination within using units of the hospital.
  • Demonstrates communication skills including follow thru that keeps all stakeholders up to date/informed and promotes teamwork.
  • Maintains a neat and safe work environment. Utilizes equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Leaves work area at the end of shift in an orderly manner.
  • Prioritizes work and provides prompt and efficient service working closely with others to positively acheive department objectives. Demonstrates flexibility thru the modification of ethe assigned schedule in order to meet customer demands with minimal notification.

• Maintains plant employee/labor relations by assisting supervisors with counseling associates, monitoring associate separations, counseling associates with workplace problems, coordinating with union personnel regarding union issues, developing plant policies and procedures, communicating with management teams regarding policy interpretation and ensuring open employee communications.
• Performs administrative duties by performing public relations duties, participating in staff meetings, supervising company donations and sponsorships, administering company uniform program, and acting as company representative for unemployment hearings.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by developing and maintaining the Affirmative Action Program, attending educational training seminars, and researching reference materials to ensure compliance.
• Conducts recruitment for plant exempt, non-exempt, and temporary positions by communicating with recruiters regarding open positions, writing advertisements for the media, communicating with management to coordinating staffing open positions, scheduling and conducting interviews and assisting in conducting employee orientations.
• Manages employee recognition programs by planning organizing and executing company functions and maintaining service awards and gifts.
• Serves as functional resource for employees, ensuring their understanding and compliance with HR policies and regulations.
• Manages the employee relations efforts to develop & implement business aligned HR initiatives that promote effective employee and management relations.
• Keeps management advised of potential problems and recommends & implements solutions as appropriate.
• Recommends innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to support continual improvement. Function as a change in agent within the plant.
• Participates in the development and implementation of plant’s goals, objectives, and systems.
• Monitors Human Resources key performance indicators, identifying root causes to workforce issues and driving improvement initiatives.
• Manages and maintain department records and reports.
• Actively participates in company-wide HR projects and meetings.
• May manage vendor relationships.
• Work with Compensation and Benefits team to ensure competitive programs are in place to attract and retain talent.
• Partners with Safety to promote and create a safe work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience working in a HR manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with with HRIS - Workday.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) preferred.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Ability to function as a team leader and self-starter.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic constantly changing environment.
• Strong analytical, reasoning and math skills.
• Strong communications skills with the ability to present to large audiences.
• Ability to communicate well to senior management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Manage one or more Human Resources Administrator or Generalist.
• Work requires supervising and monitoring work performance through the assistance of other supervisors or administrators, including making final decisions on hiring and disciplinary actions, evaluating program/work objectives and effectiveness, and realigning work and staffing assignments, as needed.

• Typical work in office and manufacturing environment.
• Work environment occasionally involves light exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and/or noise as well as physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards when in our production facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The project manager will be responsible for leading the analysis and technical reports for water resource planning projects related to water availability, demand projection, strategy development. The Resource Specialist provides support to District Operations to ensure all programs offered by TFS are administered within the District.

Responsibilities:
-Supports District Forester with delivery of Resource Development and Resource Protection programs.  Tasks may include: preparation of tract and stand maps, collecting property and stand data, interact directly with clientele, drafting of management plans, capacity building, conservation education, fire prevention and special projects.  Serve as a wildland firefighter and/or emergency responder on a statewide basis.  Duties will include operation of heavy firefighting equipment, use of hand firefighting tools and perform ground reconnaissance on wildfires.

-Employee must manage and account for assigned credit cards, vehicles, and equipment.  Vehicles and equipment must be maintained in good working order and properly serviced.

-Employee must meet and annually maintain a physical fitness standard which includes successfully completing a two-mile walk in 30 minutes or less with a 25-pound pack and obtaining required NWCG training and Red Card Certification.  Employee will carry a communication device to facilitate 24-hour availability.  Will be required to respond to dispatcher within 30 minutes of receiving an emergency call, notification, or alert.

-Will require operating heavy equipment with related exposure to equipment vibrations and noise.  Will require exposure to harsh environmental conditions such as wind, sunlight, rain and temperature extremes.  Will require walking long distances, standing for extended periods, twisting, bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting and carrying heavy objects.  Will require driving a motor vehicle for long distances.  Will require operating computers with monitors for extended periods of time.  Must meet annual physical fitness standard.  May require working long hours with minimal rest in primitive conditions.  May result in exposure to emotionally stressful situations for extended periods of time.  Will become eligible for additional out-of-state duty in accordance with wildland Fire Qualification System Guide (PMS 310-1) by meeting applicable fitness levels.
