You will oversee the coordination of Committee meetings, manage project implementation across multiple communities, and align the Committee’s goals with broader justice reforms in the Northern Territory. The purpose of the role is to support the Civil Team for Housing Disrepair with administrative procedures involved in early stages of the litigation process.

Key Responsibilities:

Checking availability of and booking barristers where required.



Qualifications:

Legal qualification e.g. GCSE grade C (grade 4) or equivalent other legal qualification.



Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Demonstrate good experience of caseloads, clerical and administrative support in a legal environment.
Demonstrate a knowledge of legal terminology, practice and procedure.
An ability to communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing and to show good interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail and good organisational skill.
Demonstrate a good command of written English and numeracy.
Demonstrate an ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.
