As a Senior Advisor for Business Operations, your typical work assignments may include:

• Providing expert advice, consultation, and assistance to the Administrator on high priority agency-wide policy matters relating to business operations in the areas of budget, contracts, facilities, resource management/appropriations, human resources, congress, public affairs, and information technology.
• Assessing the effectiveness of program and policy oversight, taking corrective action ensuring consistency with the DEA's goals, objectives and policies.

As a Program Manager-Deputy Unit Chief, at the full performance level you will perform the following duties:

• Directs an organization responsible for a variety of diverse programs and/or services;
• Plans, directs, coordinates, controls and evaluates the activities of subordinate organizations;

• Senior project manager with responsibility for overall project management of prospectus level or equally complex or precedent setting projects. The Office of GSA IT, Security Engineering Division (IPO) provides security consulting and engineering support for systems and emerging IT and IT security initiative.

IT Specialist with FedRAMP Engineer Specialization

• Responsible for developing and formalizing the GSA IT OCISO FedRAMP sponsorship program. Key activities include developing program documentation, templates, processes, and systems to facilitate cloud service providers (CSPs) through the FedRAMP authorization process. Participate in cross functional teams with other OCISO organizations to develop, mature, and implement new processes supporting authorization options such as GSA LiSaaS, GSA MiSaaS, and GSA Protecting CUI in Non-Federal Systems guides which interconnect with supported FedRAMP systems.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in the field of cloud computing and highly skilled in designing secure system architectures built on industry leading infrastructure as a service (IaaS) platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure.
• Provide comprehensive support throughout the complete FedRAMP authorization process of a CSP offering. Works directly with GSA Government POCs and CSPs to ensure all FedRAMP sponsorship program requirements are met. As of April 2024, the OCISO FedRAMP sponsorship program supports roughly 30+ CSPsCurrently and anticipates supporting five new agency FedRAMP ATO sponsorships annually.
  
• Provide advisory and consulting services related to FedRAMP and Government wide policy as well as security review of new and emerging technologies. Interpret FedRAMP and other GSA requirements and provide vendors with guidance regarding expectations, technical requirements, and process. Stay informed of updated FedRAMP guidance, industry best practices, emerging technologies, and Government cybersecurity directives and provide recommendations to the FedRAMP team and GSA management regarding program impacts. Conduct security reviews of technologies for use base consideration within CSPs authorization boundary.
• Provide project management support related to organizing, managing, and reporting on CSP deliverables and overall authorization status. Develop and maintain a FedRAMP program level dashboard with a high level summary of each CSP status, schedule, milestones, and risks. Maintain a detailed WBS per CSP to track detailed project schedules, activities, and deliverable status.
• Implement and provide authoritative advice and guidance to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of network and information systems.

The Assistant Coach is responsible for planning, programming, coordinating, supervising, managing, directing and/or reviewing all activities for their assigned area of responsibility. This position is located in the Office of Chief Counsel. As a Attorney-Advisor (General Administrative Law), GS-0905-13/14, your typical work assignments may include:

• Providing legal counsel on all activities and matters involving immediate and long-term Homeland Security (DHS) initiatives, operations, programs, and policies.
• Advising and serving as liaison to DHS and FLETC staff, as appropriate. Is recognized as the FLETC legal expert in the subject matters of real property, environmental law, tort claims, and standards of conduct law (ethics).
• Serving as legal consultant to the highest levels of FLETC management, including the Chief Counsel, recommending approaches to legal issues where precedents and prior interpretations must be innovatively adapted.
• Developing, or overseeing the development of, legal positions, legislative proposals, regulatory documents, policies and operations that involve significantly broadening or restricting agency activities affecting the agency's security posture and the public interest, and recommending legal approaches regarding novel issues for which the importance of the legal action/position as precedent is highly significant.

• Managing the agency's tort claims act process to ensure proper research, analysis, and advice is presented to the agency decision authority. Remains proficient in the principles of tort law.
• Providing legal review and advice to the agency's Training Accident Investigation Team to ensure reports thoroughly analyze the incident, accurately convey the cause of accident, and present realistic, future preventive measures, all in the context of a report which may not be privileged from public disclosure. Serves as the legal advisor to the accident investigation team.
• Developing legally sound approaches regarding sensitive matters, such as privacy and civil rights and liberties of the staff, and delicate personnel and other matters. May be assigned other legal actions in the Office of Chief Counsel practice area to include labor and employment law, Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act matters, or any other legal issue arising from the FLETC's operations.
