We have an exciting and new opportunity for a Strategic Partnership Planning and Measurement Senior Manager to join our Commercial division.
The successful candidate will manage the strategy, planning and measurement across The FA's commercial partnerships programme and drive its performance to ensure it remains best-in-class. Manage the delivery, development and evolution of The FA commercial partnerships programme's strategy/ies, data-led insights, creative ideation and rights opportunities to drive commercial value.
Work closely with our Partnerships, Partnerships Sales and Data and Insights teams to proactively develop strategy, and creative and performance-led approaches to amplify and maximise the effectiveness of the FA's commercial partnerships and boost revenues.
The FA's partnership portfolio is one of the largest in global sport and we are proud to partner with leading brands such as Nike, EE, Emirates, Adobe, M&S Food, Chase and many more across FA properties, such as England Men's, Women's and Para and Disability Teams; The Emirates FA Cup and The Adobe FA Cup; Wembley National Stadium connected by EE and St. George's Park.
What will you be doing?
- Responsible for the strategic planning and measurement of the FA's commercial partnerships programme, including season, tournament and competition reviews and planning, partner presentations, workshops and new rights/upsell opportunities to existing partners.
- Lead the season planning and season/tournament review cycles and output across partnership properties - i.e. England, FA Cups, FA Vase and Trophy, FA competitions, Grassroots, Wembley and SGP.
- Drive strategic thinking across the FA Partnerships team, using greater data-driven insights to develop and implement strategies and campaigns for existing and future partners.
- Manage the creative ideation process across the commercial partnerships department and with/for individual partners - developing and advising on new activation and investment opportunities and ideas.
- Manage the FA commercial partnerships programme data and insights output, working closely with The FA Research, Data and Insights and advising and adapting partnership KPIs and data performance.
- Drive marketing and data performance of the FA commercial partnerships programme and the individual partnerships within that to ensure the FA commercial partnership programme remains best-in-class and is leading the way in the partnerships industry.
- Work closely with Partnerships Sales to develop and deliver a partnership programme strategy that maximises the effectiveness of partner rights.
- Work closely with Partnership Sales on the valuation of rights and upsell opportunities.
- Plan and co-develop and deliver commercial content campaigns alongside the Partnerships and Commercial Content teams.
- Work closely with Commercial Content to evolve and develop new reporting measures and valuation metrics and performance.
- Advise on media planning across all partnerships work.
- Advise on the utilisation of data to better drive sales, renewals and upsell opportunities.
- Advise and recommend suitable partnership and media activation strategies for key strategic partners that lead to measurable results.
- Advise on suitable measurement approaches that support partner objectives.
- Provide thought leadership internally and externally to partners.
- Upskill teams with regular knowledge shares on developments in strategy, planning and measurement and the partnerships, brand and marketing industry.
- Undertake research projects as and when required and ensure you are informed across all of our partners' business sectors.
- Demonstrate an understanding of evolving media platforms that help inform the planning process and drive best practices.
- Develop and deliver a strategy to raise the profile of the FA commercial partnerships programme internally and externally.
- Uphold best practices and standards across the strategy, planning and measurement of the FA commercial partnerships programme.
- Develop close working relationships with key departments across the FA.
- Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with commercial partners and internal stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to commercial partners, providing strategic guidance on rights usage and marketing activations.
- Demonstrate influence and expertise.
- Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group's changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and well-being can be maintained.

Our Organisation
The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team.
