Our Project Engineers manage all aspects of their projects including initial scoping of the need, competitively tendering the work, contractor procurement, site set up and inductions, and health and safety inspections, through to commissioning, training and handover to the operations teams. What you will be doing as a Project Engineer

- Managing and delivering a portfolio of Mechanical, Electrical and ICA projects, with a typical value of £40,000 to £400,000 per project.
- Responsibility for up to 10 live projects at any one time, with further projects in the scoping and tendering phase.

What you should bring to the role

- Have experience or have a formal qualification in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering.

- Experience in project management and the delivery of engineering projects is critical, as is an awareness of health and safety standards with particular reference to construction works including CDM.

You will also be responsible for monitoring the banks' financial performance against budget, developing budgets for departments and projects, presenting these budgets to the board and senior stakeholders, creating MIS reports, managing these reports, and adjusting them based on regulatory changes.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least 5 years PQE in the banking industry. You will have experience managing teams of people below you and will be comfortable doing so. You will have experience with direct exposure to senior stakeholders and be comfortable presenting and liaising with them on a regular basis. You will have strong analytical skills and be an independent problem solver.
