The Role 

You will join a team of technicians who are experts at what they do. You will be providing professional advice and beauty treatments for our customers to ensure they have the best in-store experience.

You will offer the following treatments:
Nails (manicure and pedicure) and Piercing.

We offer in-house professional training in Orly Gel FX & Piercing.

About You 

• Have a NVQ level 2 diploma in nail services or possess a relevant beauty qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
• A desire to exceed customers' expectations

Undertake a patient facing and patient supporting role to ensure effective medicines use, through shared decision-making conversations with patients. Carry out medicines optimisation tasks including effective medicine administration (e.g. checking inhaler technique), supporting medication reviews, processing prescription queries and medicines reconciliation. Where required, utilise consultation skills to work in partnership with patients to ensure they use their medicines effectively. Support, as determined by the GP Lead and Clinical Pharmacist, medication reviews and medicines reconciliation for new care home patients and synchronising medicines for patient transfers between care settings, reviewing medication upon discharge / admittance. Provide specialist expertise, where competent, to address both the public health and social care needs of patients, including lifestyle advice, service information and help in tackling local health inequalities by identifying and referring patients to the Care Co-ordination Team. Take a central role in the clinical aspects of complex drugs and shared care protocols and liaising with specialist pharmacists for more complex patients. Support initiatives for antimicrobial stewardship to reduce inappropriate antibiotic prescribing. Assist in the delivery of medicines optimisation, management incentive schemes and patient safety audits. Support the implementation of national prescribing policies and guidance within GP practices, care homes and other primary care settings. This will be achieved through undertaking clinical audits (e.g. use of antibiotics). Supporting quality improvement measures and contributing to the Quality and Outcomes Framework and locally commissioned enhanced services. Supervise practice reception teams in sorting and streaming general prescription requests, so as to allow GPs and Clinical Pharmacists to review the more clinically complex requests. Provide training and support on the legal, safe and secure handling of medicines, including the implementation of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) to the administration team. Perform medicines improvement work to maximise safe, cost-effective best practice in prescribing under the supervision of the GP or Clinical Pharmacist. Liaise with clinicians and administrative staff to resolve medicine-related queries. Support the Clinical Pharmacists in Structured Medication Reviews (e.g. organise necessary monitoring tests before SMR). Support medicine reconciliation of patients whose care is transferred back into primary care in a timely and effective manner liaising with patients and other providers to ensure patients receive appropriate medication post discharge. Assist Clinical Pharmacists with any searches, data collection and medicine safety tasks. Implement changes to medication that result from CAS/MHRA alerts, product withdrawal and other local/national guidance. Work collaboratively with the Practice team. Develop relationships and work closely with community, hospital and MMT pharmacy colleagues and the wider health system. Participate in practice meetings, patient participation groups and other local meetings to improve engagement with the role of pharmacy technician.

Job Summary

• Supporting the Senior Management Team in the safe operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment and installations within the hospital estate, establishing efficient and effective compliance review procedures
• Primarily responsible for the electrical services operational equipment, decontamination, mechanical and building infrastructure. Control of contractors including permits to work on specialist and critical systems within the PFI hospitals as defined but not limited to those set out in HTM00 to HTM08 and any associated statutory and mandatory legislation

What you’ll do

• Fully competent (AP/CP Appointed) in the fault diagnosis, maintenance, repair assets to include but not limited to Mechanical systems such as LTHW Heating Systems, CHW Systems, Steam distribution systems, Hot Water Calorifiers, Refrigeration, Air Handling Units / Ventilation Systems, Compressed air and Medical Gas Systems
• Carry out Planned Maintenance of Mechanical Devices in line with current regulations and manufacturers recommendations
• Comparison and utilisation of technical documents as issued by the Department of Health

• The safe operation and maintenance of all plant and equipment within PFI Hospital site. Carrying out a range of repairs and new works to a high standard. Working on own initiative when applicable or as part of a team

• The management of a team who will ensure the safe operation of all plant and equipment on the hospital site in line with the Project Agreement
• Provision of advice to the engineering manager for engineering materials procurement
• Management of a Workshop operation and activities for M&E craftsmen
• Provision of guidance and advice to craftsmen in order to develop skills and improve effectiveness
• Ability to affect a hands-on approach when required
• Co-operating with the helpdesk team and ensure the return of completed worksheets in a timely fashion
• Ensuring a safe working environment and safe systems of work are followed

What you’ll bring

Essential

• Completion of C+G/Btec or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, recognised Mechanical apprenticeship, time served
• Proven substantial experience within mechanical trade
• Confident capable engineer able to assess situations
• Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities
• Skilled in the hands on repair of all plant and equipment, having the ability to fault find, read drawings, diagnose and repair using their technical knowledge on equipment
• Able to demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving using a logical approach
• Confident and logical under pressure but must understand urgency and respond accordingly

• Attend external and internal courses as required

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for general building and plant maintenance, with a focus on electrical installation requirements.

This is a day shift position. Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Facilities Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform routine electrical maintenance such as PAT & EICR's
• Conduct electrical installations for lights, sockets, etc.
• Carry out basic building maintenance including door hanging and windowpane replacement
• Perform simple repairs to small plant equipment such as welding sets or hand grinders
• Assist third-party inspectors with PSSR inspections (air receivers, etc.)
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks
