• Ensuring effectiveness of the operation of vehicles and equipment following manufacturer's recommendations for repair and maintenance.
• Complete documentation of details of repairs or work carried out. This can be electronically or written down.

• Work with the fleet and equipment service to meet departmental needs and objectives

To be considered for the role require:

• Accredited IMI (or equivalent) Master Technician or demonstrate the capability to achieve and maintain that standard through formal assessment. (Level 3 LGV Technician)
• IRTEC Certificate (where relevant)
• Experience or willingness to learn relevant servicing requirements for specialist vehicles.
• Level 4 in Diagnosis, testing and repair of ICE/hybrid/electric vehicles and components or demonstrate capability to achieve and maintain that standard through formal assessment of future fleet.
• Experience in working with complex, multi demand fleet and technician environment.
• Ideally have experience with Volvo/Scania/Mercedes/Iveco

This role is Monday to Friday - 37hrs per week

The role pays £18.15ph - £20.47ph depending on experience.

This certificate is validated by the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and the Association of Orthopaedic Practitioners UK (AOP UK) and is supported by the Society of Orthopaedic and Trauma Nursing (SOTN) of the Royal College of Nursing. Once the qualification is completed successfully you will receive 60 credits either at Diploma Level 8 SCQF equivalent to Level 5 NQF, or Degree Level 9 SCQF equivalent to Level 6 NQF. The course/examination will be undertaken on a 5-week residential course held at Stanmore Orthopaedic Hospital, London. Completion of the qualification will enable you to work in the plaster service as a Band 4 Junior Qualified Orthopaedic Plaster Technician and then progress into more senior roles as they become available.

The qualified Orthopaedic Plaster Technician is a vital member of the healthcare team providing a service not just in Orthopaedics and Trauma but also Trust-wide across many different specialties. In a similar way to Orthotists and Physiotherapists, they interpret prescriptions from a wider multidisciplinary team, being able to discuss issues of care with other relevant Healthcare Professionals.

Entry Level Packaging Technologist

Working for a global manufacturing business, this role will suit a candidate who is early in their science career and enjoys working in a hands-on capacity within a laboratory environment. A desire to develop a career in packaging science would be advantageous.

The role

• Conducting a range of scientific tests and experiments and following established protocols and guidelines which will involve laboratory experiments, test trials, and collecting data
• Creating thorough documentation detailing experimental procedures, results, and observations.
• Maintaining precise records of experimental protocols, data, and analysis methods
• Working closely with other teams, including Scientists, Engineers, and Technicians, to support research and development initiatives
• Communicating effectively to share findings, discuss results, and contribute to project objectives
• Working to optimise testing processes, streamline workflows, and enhance efficiency

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30 pm and 8am to 3.30pm on Friday, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. The hourly rate is £13.50 p.hr.

To apply you will possess a scientific degree and have a desire to develop your existing lab experience. You will be detail oriented, understand documentation processes from within a lab environment including lab-based technical reports, knowledge of scientific testing methodologies, operating laboratory equipment, and employing data analysis techniques.
