The purpose of this role is to provide an excellent IT Hub Support service to Thames Water Employees at our Hub sites in the London Region, covering Kidlington, Highworth, Fobney, Speen and Bourne End. These sites will be split between the Reading Hub Technicians supporting the Hub Support Engineer. Additional sites may be added in the future that will need to be covered.
What you’ll be doing as an IT Hub Technician
- Work with the IT Hub Team Lead and wider support team to ensure any recurring technical issues are addressed and any training or documentation requirements are identified and implemented.
- Update the Service Now ticketing system, ensuring the call has been logged and all notes, progress and required actions have been input promptly and accurately.
- You will be responsible for collection of devices and other items from our Core sites on a weekly basis for your region.
- After identifying the issue, you will talk the first line support staff or end user through the required steps to resolution or escalate Hub Support Engineer when necessary.
- Work closely with Knowledge Management and other Resolver Teams to improve, document efficient processes and provide checklist when required.
- Manage expectations of your Stakeholders within Clean and Waste.
Base Location – Clear Water Court Reading.
Working Pattern - 36 hour per week.
Other immediate demands - Travel between Reading Hub sites and on occasion London sites to cover leave.

- Knowledge of Windows 10, Office365, SSCM, Intune and rugged devices.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- ServiceNow knowledge.
- Professional qualifications such as IT Infrastructure Library.

- Competitive salary from £24.000 to £36.000 per annum depending on experience.
