My very busy, well-established clients have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer, based at our site in Stockport.

As our Electrical Engineer, you will support our Stockport site with the maintenance of all machinery and equipment under the direction of the General Manager – Fabrics.

40 hours per week – 7.30am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
1 hour – Unpaid Lunch Break.
Salary upto/around £35k DOE

Main Purpose of the Role:
• To maintain all electrical equipment on site including services, distribution, plant machinery and miscellaneous equipment in accordance with relevant current legislation and ensure that documentation and records are kept accordingly.
• To carryout electrical installation work as required for new plant, machinery, equipment, and services ensuring compliance with the relevant current legislation.
• To meet requirements of all departments at Crossley Road in their daily operations by carrying out various electrical and miscellaneous works.
• To be proactively involved in monitoring the condition of services and machinery reporting defects to the Production Manager immediately.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:
• To carry out portable / fixed appliance testing in line with current regulations and keep records accordingly.
• Diagnose and repair (where possible), electrical faults that occur in the building services, plant, machinery, and other electrical equipment.
• Assist with the training of apprentices and any other training needs of maintenance team.
• Ensure that all work by yourself is carried out in a safe manner, to an agreed standard and meets with current legislation.

Essential Criteria:
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification.
• Apprentice Trained (or equivalent).
• Some basic Mechanical experience.
Desirable Criteria:
• Previous experience of working in a factory environment.
• BS 7671 18th Edition.
• Electrical inspection and testing qualification.
• PAT Testing.
• IPAF.

• Mix paint by eye or using computer technology to ensure the best colour match
• Applying several coats to the car, including primers, colours, and protective finishes.

A certain amount of administration and customer interaction is also required:

Training to be Provided

This is a Vehicle Damage Paint Apprenticeship programme, delivered by Remit Group.

Awarding Body: Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI)

Training is delivered in the workplace and on block release at the Remit Automotive Academy in Derby. This means you will be required to stay in a hotel for 12 separate weeks (Mon – Fri) over the duration of the programme, which equals 4 weeks per year. All associated costs for training are met by the employer and there will be no cost to you.

You will also be assigned a dedicated Development Coach who will visit you every 4-6 weeks either in the workplace or remotely via Microsoft Teams, giving 1-2-1 advice and guidance to help you achieve the following IMI qualifications:
• Vehicle Damage Paint Technician Level 3
• Functional Skills Level 2 in English & Maths (if required)

Your new role

You will be joining the facilities help desk team to provide comprehensive administrative support with general office duties to the client base, across the UK.

Primary duties will include:

- Lead a team of 2 helpdesk individuals
- Respond to telephone calls from a dedicated direct maintenance telephone line, ensuring works are completed within the required time period.
- Input job requests/work orders via the Qube/Planet software system and complete all requisite fields.
- Chase contractors for updates and completion of all work carried out.
- Arrange quotations on any costed works ensuring return within 15 days of receipt to Manager/Supervisor and processing for authorisation.
- Process contractor invoices.
- Prepare reports for key clients.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with other colleagues, clients, and contractors.
- Operate within a team and promote amicable working relationships.
- Report to the Head of Facilities Management any issues that prevent the fulfilment of tasks.
- Carry out any other duties as reasonably required from time to time by the Head of Department.


Qualifications and Requirements:
* Prior experience on FM Helpdesk, or in coordinator/scheduler role
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
* Experience using a CAFM system
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain excellent working relationships.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
