We are looking for aRegistered General Nurse (RGN)passionate about delivering outstanding care to join our New Service - Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton opening in Summer 2024. Working 42 hoursa week(including days/nights and weekends) at Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton. Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton is our new state-of-the-art PICU & Acute hospital for men, in the West Midlands. The service will be opening in mid-2024. The service will feature two wards, a 12-bed PICU ward and a 17-bed Acute ward. Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton will have a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT). The service will support the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment. Were focused on length of stay and making sure individuals move as quickly and safely as possible from our services to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them. Individuals can step down through the pathways available within Cygnet services. You As an experiencedNMC Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a current PIN number and 2 Years of Experience within a Healthcare setting, youll have Essential: UK Registered RGN with 2 Years Experience within a Healthcare setting The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits & demonstrate integrity in your role A good understanding of the latest nursing practices A commitment to patient recovery to effectively monitor, manage & reduce risk Compassion, resilience & dedication to empower & support service user independence Proven experience working alone and also as part of a full MDT team. Carry out ECGs. Carry out Metabolic Syndrome monitoring. Co-ordinate with GP surgery for routine reviews: cervical smear screening, breast cancer screening, annual chronic health review, etc., Liaise with relevant health professionals e.g. dietician, optician, chiropodist, continence nurse, dentist, Tissue viability nurse, Continence team, Community diabetes specialist team, etc., Liaise with pharmacists and contribute to the medicines management committee. Support mental health nursing staff in managing minor injuries and wound care management. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Consult and coordinate with Multidisciplinary team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Promote physical health and well-being to the service users Train staff to perform observation of vitals, perform read ECG, venepuncture Provide health clinic sessions for the service users
