Department Manager – Information Management
Job Description
Responsible for the collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to one or more audiences. Under broad direction, is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related disciplines or sub-groups within the information management function within KBR’s Integrated Solutions business. Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to managers or professional staff. Participates in the development of functional strategy and is responsible for global processes and procedures.
Functional Job Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Review and approval of nonstandard execution methods.
- Drive organizational change with respect to digital delivery platforms.
- Key Interface between engineering systems and information technology.
- Innovative ways to deliver to client’s needs and expectations.
- Develop and maintain an overall department budget.
- Provide guidance and technical oversight on projects while driving KBR’s quality initiatives and standards.
- Establish succession planning and mentorship throughout the group.
- Responsible for all personnel decisions across the information management team.
- Aid in sales and proposal pursuits including development of work hour estimates required to properly execute a given scope of work.
Job Qualifications:
- Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 12+ years of experience, 3 of which should be in management.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.
- Attention to detail and the ability to ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
