The City of Doncaster Council are seeking up to 5 passionate and dedicated Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs) to join their Adult Social Care and Support team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by providing vital mental health support and statutory social work services to adults aged 18 and over. Responsibilities

• Fulfil statutory AMHP duties under Section 114 of the Mental Health Act 1983, ensuring compliance with legal and policy requirements.
• Coordinate and manage the process of Mental Health Act assessments, acting as a statutory decision-maker on behalf of Doncaster Council.
• Respond promptly to safeguarding adult referrals received out of hours, assessing and arranging necessary services to protect at-risk individuals.
• Prepare accurate, evidence-based reports for use in legal and professional contexts, such as AMHP or Social Circumstance Reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to ensure effective service delivery and positive outcomes for service users.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Degree in Social Work or equivalent, with registration with Social Work England.
• Experience: Proven experience in AMHP roles, including triaging, coordinating, and conducting Mental Health Act assessments. Experience in Care Act assessments and safeguarding inquiries is also essential.
• Knowledge: Advanced understanding of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007), Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Human Rights Act 1998.
• Skills: Strong analytical, decision-making, and report-writing skills, with a commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults.

The Power & Civils Business within VolkerRail Specialist Businesses offers comprehensive electrical design and installation within all railway environments, overhead line installation, ancillary civils construction, and piling services. We provide a turnkey, multi-discipline service that includes survey, ground investigation, design and engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning for all railway power elements.

Our services encompass the design, construction, and modification of both High Voltage and Low Voltage power distribution systems for the UK operational railway, including essential supplies for signalling power and train control. We also work on railway facilities such as depots and stations, installing lighting, small power, and depot protection systems.

For overhead line electrification equipment, we support projects from early design to full installation, testing, and commissioning. We also perform various lineside civils work, including under track crossings and concrete base and formation works.

Our services range from small projects to large multi-million-pound turnkey packages, covering early project development to final commissioning and handover, either as the principal contractor or as Tier 2 and 3 suppliers.

We are currently working on a number of contracts some examples of which include TransPennine Route upgrade (TRue), Radlett Depot, North Western Electrification Programme, West Coast Signalling Power Supply Upgrade, Edgeley Feeder Station. VolkerRail have also been appointed on CP7 Framework in Southern Region and in Scotland.

We are looking to recruit 2 General Operative - Civils Level 2 to work on multiple projects within our Piling team in our Power division.

The successful candidates will have proven civils/groundworks installation experience in either the Civils construction and/or Rail Civils industry. They must be able to work to a high standard and understand the importance of installing works in accordance to design and to the correct standard of quality.

They will hold their PTS/DCRR, be willing to undertake further training in rail specific training and safety critical course and have an overall good understanding of Civils, the railway and Plant.

These roles will be on a 180 hour roster over a four-week period, site based and required to operate throughout the UK.

About you

• Proven lineside civils experience, hold a CSCS card/ NVQ's in Civils and other safety critical competencies for example; Small tools, SWL1, COSS, LKT/SW, Track Trolley.

• You will be able to demonstrate the ability to both work well on your own and as part of a team.

• Be able to prove a clear understanding on the importance of HSQE processes
• Knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues
• Experience in civil engineering

This position is for a reactive mobile cleaner who will be responsible for going out and completing cleans where the regular cleaner has called in sick or on holiday. You will receive your own van and fuel card as well as a company phone. The position covers a wide area across Yorkshire and The Humber and deals with our CO-OP Superdrug & Lloyds Contracts. You will be given your jobs at the beginning of your shift and be expected to be able to complete independently . You will need a full UK driving license cleaning experience is desirable.

In your new role as a Cleaning Operative you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative.
