CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term contract.

What you'll do: Join us at Telford Central Premier Innas a Housekeeper, part of the Housekeeping team that clean our hotel rooms. From bedrooms to bathrooms, sheets to shiny mirrors, getting everything clean and fresh on time.

For the successful General Operative our client is offering;

• Starting pay rate of £11.50 per hour
• Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays
• Temporary position, for the right person this could turn into a permanent role

• Overtime paid at T1/3 in the week, T1/2 Saturday & X 2 Sunday

The Role of the General Operative will include:

• Assembling and fitting intricate components
• Working within a busy workshop
• Prepping orders
• Working from drawings
• General maintenance
• Use of company van to take things to and from site from time to time, no more than an hours trip
• Use of hand and power tools

What our client is looking for in a General Operative;

• Basic handy person/ maintenance experience - ESSENTIAL
• Full UK Driving licence- ESSSENTIAL
• Ability to use and interpret drawings - PREFFERED
• Must be happy to be flexible and offer a helping hand

MAJOR TASKS/JOB ACTIVITIES

To empty litter and recycling bins.
The cleaning of all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings within a group of buildings.
The cleaning of all sanitary areas, toilets and showers and the replenishment of washroom consumables.
Emergency and re-active cleaning as required, e.g. removal of graffiti, body fluid spillages, accidental spillages.
The care and cleanliness of all equipment used in carrying out the above duties.
Other tasks as may reasonably be required that relate to the role, including supporting cleaning tasks across other buildings where required.
The post holder will be required to deliver to the cleaning specification requirements and to cooperate with performance measurement so that the overall agreed standards are met.

*Facilities Management has overall responsibility for keyholding to enable opening and closing of buildings that we service. As part of the duties of a Cleaning Operative and in this particular role, you will be required to be a key holder to fulfil these tasks. This typically would include operation of security alarm systems when opening a building, closing accessible windows and doors, switching off lights and ensuring that premises are left safe and secure when closing.
