As the Cleaner at Serco, your general responsibilities will include:


- To complete all cleans identified, to a compliant standard, within the timescale given

As the Cleaner you will be responsible for Material Management, ensuring to only purchase materials from approved Serco suppliers and keep receipts for all transactions to identify and record what materials are used for each job / property. Where specified only purchase the agreed Serco standard material’s unless alternative substitutions can be provide due to stock requirements. You will replenish the stock inventory when required and update line manager and AORA. Lastly, you will remove appropriate waste from properties when in attendance and ensure the waste is disposed of in approved license areas and re-cycled where possible.

Working hours for this vacancy are:


- 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9.00-17.00

Main Purpose:

To provide safe and efficient maintenance of the Building Fabric and equipment within the hospital as directed by Estates Supervisors and Management.

£42,000 to £46,000 per annum plus company car

We are looking for a Cleaning Operations Manager to join our thriving East Anglia division where you will be responsible for 4-5 Area Managers across a £5 million cleaning portfolio for our corporate, education and industrial customers.

Reporting into the Regional Director, the role of Cleaning Operations Manager will ensure the team are providing the highest level of service to our customers and will support the drive for profitable growth. The Cleaning Operations Manager will provide development and leadership of an effective team that operates through the Churchill values. Delivering excellent service to existing Local and National customers, you will operate efficiency to maintain and expand the portfolio.

As a Cleaning Operations Manager you’ll be:

• Responsible for operational and strategic management and delivery of all services.
• Supporting a team of managers, working with them on the front line to maximise client retention and growth.
• Analysing the business and production of operating strategies for the region.
• Managing client engagement, and driving innovation and mobilisation of any new business wins
• Looking for opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings and account growth.

As a Cleaning Operations Manager you’ll have:

• Proven people management experience with the ability to motivate and coach diverse teams across multiple sites to deliver the best possible outcome.
• The ability to use own initiative to problem solve in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
• Experience gained ideally with a mixture of client groups including commercial, local authority and education.
• Strong commercial awareness, financial management, Health and Safety awareness and IT literacy.
• Passionate, flexible, trustworthy, and innovative.

Pay Rates: Starting at £11.44 up to £12.44 per hour

Experience and Qualifications 
You don’t need experience to join our Accommodation Cleaning Team. You may already be a Cleaner or Housekeeper but if not, that’s ok! We will provide the training and support required to ensure you are great at what you do.
