**About the Role:**

We are seeking a proactive **Warehouse Manager** to oversee operations at our Coventry facility. You will ensure efficient processes, manage a team, and maintain high safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**


* Oversee daily warehouse operations and inventory management using systems such as **WMS** (Warehouse Management Systems) and **ERP** (Enterprise Resource Planning).
* Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to ensure effective use of these systems.
* Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage stock levels and conduct inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
* Optimize warehouse processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness through data analysis and reporting.

**What You Bring:**


* Proven experience in warehouse management.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Valid forklift licence (preferred).

Typical working hours as a full time Team Leader:

There are 2 shifts patterns: 06:00am to 14:00pm and 22:00pm to 06:00am

You will be working any 5 days out of 7, including weekends. You must be flexible

Your role as a Team Leader:

The role of a team leader is to support the safe and efficient running of the warehouse shift, focusing on agency colleagues whilst also supporting the team where required. You are a key link between the on-site office team and the warehouse operation.

Your duties will include:

Start of shift: Handover from the previous shift regarding any sickness, lateness, or ongoing issues. This includes assigning LLOPS, AMT issue, etc.

Develop a teamwork ethos within the crew to ensure the team feel safe and enjoy working; focusing and leading the team on safety, performance, and accuracy.

Leading the team to work productively through coaching, supporting, and sharing best practice so the team meet required targets and the crew remain efficient.

Supporting new workers within their probation to highlight any additional training requirements

Be proactive with problem solving and highlight any areas that could be having a negative impact on the shift

Complete New Starter 'One to One' meetings and ensure a weekly informal check-in with Agency Workers during their learning curve to ensure the individuals performance and development is on track

Holding meetings with Agency workers, including new starter reviews, informal reviews, disciplinaries and performance reviews.

Managing performance by reviewing it every 2 hours and complete any required actions.

Team Leaders will be given reports by the on-site agency contract team, from which they will manage any Still Time / Breaks Pre shift preparation:

Check numbers and availability and confirm with the agency on-site team any changes to be made.

Ensuring Agency Workers can work efficiently and safely. This includes engaging the cleaning team for spillages and participating in Clean as You Go rumbles.

Actively participating in Health and Safety initiatives on site, including Pristine behavioural checks, MHE Pit stops and Rumbles

Accident reporting and supporting with any associated paperwork required for investigations. Outcomes and next steps are completed by the on-site team Managing congestion:

Weekly 1:1 meeting with agency management team to discuss any focus areas and new starter plans

Work in collaboration with the warehouse service team and shift managers/duty managers to ensure operating procedures are providing a service the customer requires

Attend start of shift and end of shift meetings with the site team Supporting the shift manager with any change to hours required on shift.

Accessing live reports in relation to performance and breaks and escalating any issues or concerns to the on shift Manager

The Warehouse Team Leader role

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, key duties and responsibilities of the role include:

- Giving instruction to and supervising performance of warehouse colleagues to ensure tasks are completed effectively and within required timescales

- Receive, inspect and unload supplier deliveries

- Pick, load and dispatch goods

- Receive and process customer/supplier returns

- Support stock-taking activities

- Dealing direct with customers both in person & via telephone, ensuring high standards of customer service at all times.

- Ensuring paperwork is processed onto the system accurately and timely

Do you have the correct profile?
Firstly, you must be an experienced warehouse operative in your own right, with valid forklift truck licences in reach & counterbalance (training on one licence could be provided if needed). Ideally you will already have enjoyed some experience of supervising a small team of warehouse staff and understand what it takes to provide guidance, support and get the best out of a team. It is imperative that you have a strong work-ethic with a flexible 'can do' attitude. Also crucial is a strong customer-focus with the ability to interact positively with our customers. First and foremost you will be an able and dependable warehouse operative in your own right, enthusiastic, not afraid to get your hands dirty, but also able to set a strong example and motivate others to do a good job.
