Your new role
As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will manage one direct report, supporting them with day-to-day queries and their continuous professional development. You will focus on commercial and marketing categories, two areas that make up the vast bulk of the UK businesses spend. As the company goes through a step change in their approach to procurement, making it mandated, you will lead the charge in rolling this out across your stakeholder base. You will frequently engage with the CFO and wider marketing team to support this transition and will lead procurement of events, PR and Media agencies alongside POS production, social media etc.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a seasoned procurement professional with a strong understanding of the marketing landscape and the various subcategories that would fall under your remit. You should be an expert communicator who can confidently influence and manage a diverse and international stakeholder base. People management experience is not a pre-requisite, but a desire and willingness to take this step is crucial. You should be able to commute to the Uxbridge office 3 days a week. A desire and ability to improve processes and effect change will be vital in allowing you to hit the ground running and make a real impact in this role.

Menzies Distribution have an immediate opening for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our team based in Norton in Worcestershire (WR5 2PT). You’ll be managing and supporting the Warehouse Operation which ensures the integrity of our customers and their service requirements, whilst managing the commercial aspects of a Warehouse operation which meets legal compliance, profit, service and quality targets on behalf of Menzies Distribution Solutions Limited and its customers.

What You Really Need To Know:

• Salary: £28k- £32k Per Annum
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30
• Hours: 40 hour week (Taking into consideration the needs of business)
• Holiday Allowance: 28 days including bank holidays
• This role requires Bpss & SC security clearance.

Warehouse Team Leader Duties:

• Reporting directly into the Site Manager
• Managing a team
• Supporting in the running of the site when the Site Manager is unavailable
• Have the ability to communicate with the customers on a daily basis and dealing with any picking errors and resolving them with the team
• Completing and reporting WPE’s to the business on a weekly basis
• Have a good understanding of investigations and disciplinary procedures
• Able to complete staff accident investigations and report on them
• Good understanding of H&S and keen to control the site so that it keeps to an excellent standard.
• Fair understanding about fleet compliance as you need to control MHE onsite for servicing and insurance inspections
• Will be required to track staff holidays and control them and will be required to update our in house system with this information
• Will be required to update in house system with staff sickness and complete return to work’s interviews.
• Controlling of Agency staff and contractors onsite, making sure they are signed in and signed off to our policies.
• Will be required to work with the Supervisors onsite to manage the site operation daily, arranging agency staff where required.

Warehouse Manager Requirements:

• Have previous Warehouse Management Experience (Minimum 2 years)
• Comprehensive with a PC (good understanding of excel is mandatory)
• Good financial experience of running a Warehouse Operation.
• Ability to manage and lead people.
• Experience of working within the transport industry (preferred)
• Strong organisational skills for planning and scheduling
