The post holder will form part of a small dedicated Quality service provided to Radiopharmacy; which holds an Manufacturing Specials (MS) Licence and is regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), Clinical Trials Aseptic Unit; which manufactures under an exemption of the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, and provides further Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidance to other sections within the Pharmacy Department at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Main duties: Testing of clean rooms and pharmaceutical isolators(Environmental Monitoring) Tesmperature mapping and monitoring Process validation and maintenance of VMP Processing of microbiological samples Data entry, assessment and manipulation Reporting of results Writing of SOPs Self-inspection and audit activities Use and maintenance of the pharmaceutical quality system (PQS) - Deviations, CAPA, OOS and Change Processes

General Administrative Duties Oversee the validation of RTT patient pathways with both the surgical and medical modalities, to support delivery of waiting time compliance. Ensure relevant SOPs and processes are developed within the Data Quality team, to support reliability and access of data across the directorate. Plan and organise your workload to ensure deadlines and objectives are met. Deal with correspondence (e-mails, letters, phone calls) as required by the service, taking action or drafting brief responses when appropriate. Demonstrate good attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate data sets and reports as required. Act as a primary point of contact within the directorate in relation to RTT performance issues, liaising and escalating to the Service Manager where appropriate for support. Be responsible for providing and receiving both complex and sensitive information in collaboration with a number of internal and external parties at all levels, as required within the service Support the Data Quality team at Unipart House in ensuring consistent and robust administrative cover across both the service Data and Performance Management Take a lead role in data quality management of the service, including EPR worklists, RTT pathway validation and lost-to-follow-up Manage access control and security of the IT systems within ophthalmology, in collaboration with other Team Leaders in the service. Regularly export and review the long-waiting patient pathways within the service, to ensure we are tracking the priority patients, to be compliant with waiting-time targets as defined by NHSE. Optimise the coordination of all data management and processing activities and to provide updates and training to the team where necessary. Produce data summaries and custom data exports at the request of the leads, using ORBIT+ where appropriate Ensure compliance with Data Protection Act across the team and act as a role model in relation to this Contribute to the development and update of databases and maintain filing systems, to manage the storage and access of data. Ensure that data is available and up to date for any meetings related to the Failsafe team and attend related meetings to convey the relevant information To support and facilitate audits where appropriate, liaising with clinical and administrative staff to ensure the availability of reliable data To act as a central support resource in relation to data across the service To be responsible for proposing and implementing changes to practice and processes within this area, contributing towards ongoing service development and potential efficiencies Human Resources Provide line management and supervision for the RTT Validation and Failsafe Officers based at Unipart House Work with the Directorate Management Team to manage the recruitment and selection processes, and the training, of administrative staff across the Directorate. Maintain a good working knowledge of Trust HR policies including, but not limited to, performance management, sickness absence management and disciplinary procedures. Identify and act upon concerns in line with the above policies, working closely with the divisional HR team. Ensure that day to day administration cover is in place to support the departments; this will include the effective monitoring and management of annual leave and sickness to ensure appropriate levels of cover are maintained. Undertake annual appraisals, setting objectives and taking responsibility for ongoing review and compliance with these. Ensure compliance with statutory and mandatory training across the administrative team. Act as an inspirational role model to the team, demonstrating the Trust values at all times. General Report incidents using the Trust Incident reporting system and support the investigation, review and learning from incidents. Investigate and co-ordinate responses to informal and formal patient complaints. Ensure that patient experience and quality of care is considered at all times. Using the e-procurement programme, be responsible for ordering, delivery and returning of any items, ensuring that invoices are process in line with Trust policy. Source and order specialist equipment as needed for the team

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POST: To support quality aspects of laboratory testing within haematology and biochemistry When required supervise/organise staff/work within a section, ensuring work is completed within acceptable timescales and co-ordinate the training of all levels of staff within the section. To perform, analyse, interpret, document and report both routine and highly complex laboratory investigations of a highly specialised nature commensurate with the professional grade that will impact directly on patient care. The post holder will exercise autonomy within professional and managerial boundaries and will be required to verify and validate completed work. To liaise/cooperate with hospital clinicians, general practitioners, other healthcare professionals, suppliers/manufacturers and their agents and accreditation bodies. Participate in the strategic development of the quality section and deputise for their quality manager in their absence. Develop highly specialist skills in all sections of the laboratory via internal rotation. The work may include a requirement to work some out of routine hours duties as required. Appointees will be guided on the appropriate choice of QI projects to fit in with the OKUs agenda for quality improvement and patient safety, and RCPs programme priorities. Flexibility will be given to the QI project depending on the interests and experience of the individual post holder. There will be opportunities to support and mentor other junior doctors and allied health care professionals with audit and QI projects within the department and create wider linkages through RCP. QI and leadership training will be provided through mentorship from Dr Udaya Udayaraj, Consultant nephrologist, OKU, and Dr. Andrew Rochford, Improvement Clinical Director, RCP. The appointee will join a wider community of QI practitioners at Oxford University Hospitals, benefiting from and contributing to the Trusts Award-winning QI Hub programme of structured teaching, mentorship, and workshops on QI methodology. Access to RCP resources and subscriptions to other online QI resources such as the IHI will be facilitated. The post has clinical commitment being resident on call (1:10) as part of the hospital at-night team providing cover for inpatients in renal, surgical, and other medical specialties at the Churchill Hospital site. The resident cover includes crash bleep responsibility at the Churchill site overnight and calls for renal advice from across the region. The appointee will be working alongside eight renal trainees, including six with national training numbers and a post-CCT fellow. The post will have an affiliation with the RCP. The appointee will spend 0.5 days strengthening their QI skills and knowledge and leadership skills by working on internal, regional, and national projects led by the Improvement team at RCP, London. They will also contribute to RCP improvement resources. Although these sessions can be undertaken remotely, it is anticipated that the post holder will be expected to attend some of the sessions in person at the RCP in London and Liverpool. Postholders will also be encouraged and supported to present posters and/or oral presentations at conferences and events and write up their QI project for peer-reviewed publication. To work with the Quality and Safeguarding Lead and Senior Clinical Pathways Manager to develop robust clinical governance structures and arrangements and advise services within the network the vision on clinical governance and patient safety. To provide reports on clinical governance, risk and CQC compliance, quality, and patient safety to the CAMHS Tier 4 and HOPE (Adult Eating Disorders) Provider. To manage the coordination of the complaints, patient safety incidents and CQC assurance processes across the network and ensure that action plans where required are implemented and monitored. To analyse the outcomes of patient safety incidents and investigations; patient experience surveys; complaints and concerns investigations. To maintain the CAMHS Tier 4 and HOPE (Adult Eating Disorders) Provider Collaborative risk registers and highlight medium and high risks to the CAMHS Tier 4 and HOPE (Adult Eating Disorders) Provider Collaboratives Clinical Governance meetings making sure that actions are in place to mitigate them. To provide clinical leadership to the workforce and other professionals within the team in relation to complex case situation/s as required. To contribute to the operational planning, and implementation of policy and service development in relation to quality improvement across the CAMHS Tier 4 and HOPE (Adult Eating Disorders) Provider. To attend all forums/meetings that are appropriate, including representing the CAMHS Tier 4 and HOPE (Adult Eating Disorders) Provider Collaboratives at meetings with partner organisations and other agencies. To act as a champion for patients and their interests. To work with providers and partners to share intelligence and identify areas of good practice expertise. To contribute to the development and maintenance of robust and reliable mechanisms and processes for monitoring standards of clinical quality, patient safety and patient experience across the specialised commissioned services.

The IPCN is a specialist clinical practitioner with oversight of a broad range of infection prevention and control issues. They will provide advice, education, and support on all aspects of infection prevention and control to the diverse range of departments and staff. They will be competent in the delivery of training and audit programmes. To lead, facilitate, support, and monitor the development and implementation of Infection Control Surveillance and audit projects in line with the Infection Prevention and Control annual programme, whilst reflecting National directives. The post holder will assist in the analysis of data and the preparation of results for reporting and dissemination of data by working with the multidisciplinary teams. The post holder will be an employee of the OUHFT and may be required to work at any of the four sites within the trust.
