What you’ll be doing
You will focus on qualifying mechanical and/or electrical/I&C equipment for accident conditions. As a vital member of the team, your primary role as the EQ Lead Engineer will be to support the EQ Group Lead in coordinating NNB’s design initiatives. This includes leading the daily execution of a portion of the team’s scope, collaborating with other EQ lead engineers, mentoring junior EQ engineers, and overseeing tasks from supply chain partners.
You will manage the resolution of complex technical issues and conduct the technical review and acceptance of design documentation provided by the RD and suppliers. Additionally, work closely with Technical Engineering Leads to ensure thorough design substantiation, build relationships with stakeholders, facilitate communication with regulators, and provide technical input for risk management, all while assisting in the development of less experienced team members.
Who you are
You’ll get to use your expertise in mechanical, electrical, or I&C component design and operation while showcasing your excellent communication skills. A good understanding of Safety Case principles, especially the application of ALARP throughout the project lifecycle, is key to your success. You’ll play a vital role in leading multidisciplinary teams through complex engineering challenges.
Familiar with risk assessment methods and have knowledge of PWR nuclear power plant systems. Understanding UK Nuclear Site Licence Conditions and ONR guidance, as well as French EQ standards for equipment qualification, will also help you thrive. Plus, experience with ageing, obsolescence, or lifetime management of mechanical and electrical systems, along with proficiency in Teamcenter Engineering document management, would be a bonus. The Compliance Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and completing rigorous audits/inspections and follows up across Shaw healthcare settings that are registered with the national regulators.

As the Safety Case Assurance Lead, you will:


- Implement significant changes to the MDI Process by delivery of the Safety Case Development Improvement Programme,
- Work closely with the Fleet Safety Case Assurance Group Head and the MDI Fleet Manager to look for opportunities to both further improve the MDI Process and to improve how the safety case practitioners across the business implement the Process,

Who you are

We are looking for you to demonstrate the following skills and experience:


- Post holder will be qualified to Degree level in a technical or engineering field (or acceptable International equivalent) and have attained, or be working towards, Chartered Engineer or equivalent status in an appropriate professional body.
- Intermediate project and programme management skills.
- MDI Process implementation knowledge.
- Good knowledge of the EC process and other MDI sub-processes (e.g. PSR, NSC, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Current experience with the Management of Safety Cases, e.g. Case Officer or holder of other senior SCM roles is highly desirable.
- Experience of participating in peer groups at stations or within central functions.

Key Areas of Responsibility: - Ensuring that a consistent level of admin support is provided to the Patient Safety & Quality team. - Responding to routine enquiries from all grades of staff across the Trust as well as from representatives of external organisations -Co-ordinating and supporting the provision of training in patient safety and risk processes, including maintaining a record of all training undertaken. - Requesting and tracking patient notes as requested by the team. - Carrying out general administration duties including: taking minutes, answering the phone, electronic filing, generating basic reports, data entry, responding to emails and some aspects of diary management. - Arranging a variety of meetings, workshops and presentations - Supporting the transfer of sensitive and sometimes contentious information arising from safety incidents while maintaining confidentiality and using discretion. - Attending regular team meetings. - Managing shared email inboxes and phone lines and directing queries appropriately. - Providing administration support cover for the Patient Safety & Quality Managers and DATIX systems Manager when absent, escalating any complex queries. - Monitoring and inputting incidents reported through the hotline. - Maintaining up to date contact and distribution lists - Carrying out basic quality assurance checks as instructed. - Maintaining and updating data dashboards as required - Basic use of Trak care and electronic patient record to provide support to the Patient Safety and Quality advisors in identifying admission and appointment history for patients involved in incidents -Prolonged use of computers for majority of working day - Prolonged and frequent periods of concentration - Ability to remain focused during repetitive tasks - Establishing effective and open administrative processes and filing systems that enables easy access to all material by post holder and team. - Requesting goods as required and requested directly by Line Manager using P2P systems - To undertake any other duties compatible with grade in discussion with Line Manager - Managing electronic storage provisions through the use of share drives and SharePoint sites - Supporting the Patient Safety and Quality team tracking incidents and action plans - Responding to enquiries and providing process related advice and guidance where able and escalating queries where required. - Entering data and generating reports from databases and spreadsheets using defined search criteria - Supporting the Datix System Manager in the administration of the Trust risk management software for incidents, risk registers, complaints, PALS, mortality and claims - Carrying out DATIX system administration duties to include: approving contacts, creating and modifying user profiles and resetting passwords. - Supporting the DATIX System Manager with the production of training materials/presentations to support training in the Trust risk management software

We are looking or a Road Tester to join the team at BCA Grimsby. Within this role, you will be responsible for the initial road testing the vehicles at the site. This is an ideal role for a candidate with basic mechanical knowledge and previous experience in a similar role. It is beneficial to have the minimum of Level 1 City and Guilds or equivalent mechanical qualifications.

Shift Pattern: 4on 4off 6:00-18:00

Role Duties:


Completing a short road test on the vehicle to identify any major issues
Carry out vehicle QC inspection following set of company procedures (checking oil, fluids, warning lights, visual under bonnet and wheel nuts check)
Undertake road and ramp testing and inspection
Ensure all the relevant documentation is accurately completed and all company procedures are followed


Personal Requirements:


Qualified to City and Guilds, NVQ or IMI qualified to Level 1 or have;
Previous experience in a similar role
Full UK or EU Driving Licence with the ability to drive automatic and manual cars

Your key responsibilities will be:


Carry out MOT tests
Undertake road and ramp testing and inspection as and when required.
Carry out all repairs in line with approved methods to restore the vehicle to its original condition.
Plan and organise time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines, achieving efficiency.
Assist with general workshop tasks as and when required
Diagnose problems on vehicles in the workshop and if needed undertake electrical diagnosis on vehicles
Deal with warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards
Ensure all the relevant documentation is accurately completed and all company procedures are followed


To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:


Previous experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
Qualified as a MOT Tester (essential)
Qualified to City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (essential)
Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
You will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required
