Randstad CPE are currently looking for a Electrical Compliance Engineer to join a leading FM provider on a permanent basis in the central belt.

This role involves carrying out electrical testing (EICR) and associated remedial works within a retail, commercial and offices including the completion of NICEIC certification. Applicants must have the ability to complete works to a high
standard, be fully conversant with BS7671:18 th edition wiring regulations and be able to work using their own
initiative.

Role & Responsibilities

• To undertake electrical Inspection and Testing and remedial works as required by the Clients
  specialist electrical team to a high standard ensuring the customers' expectations are met.
• Self- motivated, responsible and organised individual working on their own initiative.
• All works carried out to be compliant with BS7671: 18 th Edition wiring regulations.
• Achieve the highest standards of quality, service and presentation of the business
• Ensure company compliance with statutory regulations.

Experience & Qualifications

• City & Guilds 236 Pt 1 & 2 or 2230 Level 3 NVQ 2356 / 2357 or City and Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical
  Installation or AM1 and AM2.
• City &Guilds 18 th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671: 2018)
• ONC, HNC, City & Guilds or recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing (or equivalent)
• Competent at completing electrical certification as required in BS7671: 2018

Based within the Quality Assurance section at Health & Social Care Headquarters, we are currently recruiting a senior officer to join the team and provide support across a wide range of Quality Assurance functions in respect of assessment and care planning and service provision across the authority.

A key function of the role is to support procurement activity and work directly with providers and commissioned services, ensuring robust contracting procedures and monitoring processes are in place, supporting stability and sustainability across the sector.

You will contribute to the development of Social Work strategic service plans and manage compliance of service delivery consistent with these. You will prepare, collate and report on information to meet statutory requirements and service assurance and support the development and implementation of policies and procedures in line with national and council policies.

You will work with a range of key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

To apply you require to hold a professional qualification at degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline and have substantial experience of working in the social care sector.

Extended post qualifying experience operating in a senior position is required. An understanding of procurement processes and previous supervisory/management experience is desirable.

This post is temporary for 12 months , subject to review and may be extended.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, customer focused and confident individual to join our team in this key role supporting delivery of the Clyde Valley Residual Waste Contract through the monitoring of community benefits and providing site, technical and contract management support.

With an SVQ3/HNC/Apprenticeship in an appropriate subject, you will have moderate work experience within a relevant field and be able to demonstrate continuous professional development.

You must have experience of working in a contract support and project environment and with confidential information. In addition, you will have experience of undertaking audit/compliance checks and of implementing document control and tracking procedures. Experience of partnership working and of waste management is also essential, as is an awareness of relevant legislative directives.

To succeed in this role, you must be an innovative problem solver who is able to work independently. You must have excellent organisational and IT skills, be a clear verbal and written communicator and have the ability to analyse data, identify gaps in information and produce relevant reports.

You must have a current driving licence.

This position is temporary for a period of up to 1 year for a maternity leave cover.

• Working with subject matter experts to create work instructions for various processes ensuring these align with relevant SOPs and regulations.

About you:

• Ideally you will have experience working within a similar role, focusing on SOP management within a manufacturing facility.

To help us to deliver upon our plans and aspirations, we are recruiting for 1 FTE Environmental Health Officer and a 0.6 FTE post to work Wed, Thurs and Friday.

As the 4th largest authority in Scotland, we want to do more and have ongoing plans to regenerate our communities, develop Smarter Homes, create employment, and attract investment to North Lanarkshire by ensuring communities and our local environment are attractive places to live, work and invest. The substantive office base for the team is Civic Centre, Windmillhill Street, Motherwell ML1 1AB, but you will operate on a hybrid working arrangement as part of a team responsible for the efficient delivery and administration of all pollution control, public health and general environmental health related functions covering a geographical area within North Lanarkshire.

The main duties of the post include undertaking investigation work measuring noise levels and assessing any potential noise impact; investigating general pollution control issues on a reactive basis; responding to statutory planning consultations in relation to air quality and contaminated land issues; investigation of public health complaints, including statutory nuisance investigation and assessment; assisting in the development of policies and strategies. The job requires that work is updated promptly on the Council’s database systems in line with the designated response times.

You will be a qualified Environmental Health Officer and hold the REHIS Diploma in Environmental Health, or its equivalent. However, we would welcome applications from recently qualified EHO’s (including degree qualified students who are sitting their professional examinations imminently) who are looking to start their career with a large local authority with a variety of environmental health work.

You must have a sound knowledge of current pollution control, public health and environmental protection and be able to demonstrate experience in pollution control work or environmental health. In addition, you must have the ability to work to specific deadlines and possess excellent communication and IT skills. A current driving licence is essential. REHIS membership is desirable.

The successful candidate will be required to participate in an out-of-hours standby service.
