The role
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll provide functional advice, guidance and support to the business on all matters related to the delivery of an effective assurance programme, ensuring outputs meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Day-to-day, the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for providing a 'key' support role to the Quality Manager and acting as their deputy covering agreed delegated duties and being a point of contact in times of their absence.
- Provides support to the Quality Manager/Senior Quality Manager [where appropriate] in the review of Quality Plans
- Delivering coaching, advice and support in relation to quality activities in support of overall business delivery 3. Supports and advises the organisation on planning to meet standards relevant to its activities particularly those specific to new projects and activities
- Provides advice and guidance on the findings of independent assurance activities and reports to the organisation on levels of compliance, recommending corrective and preventive actions as appropriate
- Identifies risks and opportunities associated with the organisations processes, products and services
- Ensuring Supplier quality arrangements are reviewed and approved / accepted in accordance with project requirements, including Customer approvals, e.g. up-front manufacturing documentation
This role is full time OR part time, 37 hours per week provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
- Have a proven track record gained within a similar role in a highly regulated industry such as Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Manufacturing etc.
- Good working knowledge of all relevant quality standards and requirements
- Ability to investigate events using industry best-practice causal analysis tools
