To put this into perspective, they can already supply power for an hour to approximately 1.8 million homes, with an additional 2 million homes in the pipeline.

Your new role

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring environmental compliance is adhered to across the Company's portfolio of sites (including flexible power generation, BESS, wind and solar) sites
• Accountable for the management of statutory environmental permit requirements, such as but not limited to, emissions monitoring and reporting
• Responsible for the maintenance of UK-ETS permits and procedures, including annual verifications
• Ensuring all new sites in development or construction obtain statutory environmental permits in line with key project timescales
• Providing key input intothe portfolio carbon reporting procedures (ESOS, ISO 50001 etc.)
• Managing variations to existing environmental permits that may be required
• Maintaining and establishing long-term relationships with environmental regulators and third-party consultants
• Act as internal expert on environmental legislation and regulation and improve environmental awareness throughout the business
• Representing the business at workshops, industry forums and working groups as required
• Carrying out internal environmental auditing and host audits of our sites by the Regulators
• Responsibility for assessing new and changing environmental legislation and providing responses to key government consultations
• Be a key consultee at relevant design process meetings, attending and providing input at all stages of the design process and lifecycle of projects.
• Working closely with key internal stakeholders on all environmental matters
• Travel will be required as part of the role, therefore own transport is essential with occasional overnight stays if necessary
• Managing one direct report who will assist with the above responsibilities

What you need to succeed

• Degree in a relevant field
• Membership (or working towards) of a relevant professional body (i.e. IEMA, IES, IAQM etc.)
• Proven experience in environmental management and compliance practices
• Demonstrable experience in managing environmental permitting processes, preferably with MCP's and specified generators
• Demonstrable experience in analysing complex analytical environmental datasets
• Greenhouse gas calculation and reporting experience would be desirable
• Competent knowledge of the environmental permitting regulations (installation, Medium Combustion Plants (MCPD), Specified Generators and Flood Risk Activities)
• Competent with new and evolving environmental legislation and policy
• Good general knowledge of low carbon technologies and renewable energy technologies
• Managing multiple projects under tight time deadlines
• Self-motivated, with diligence, integrity, and ambition
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of understanding technical concepts and explain effectively to key stakeholders

Job Description

  

Teledyne Princeton Instruments (TPI) is looking for a trade compliance manager to manage and enhance the trade compliance program for TPI in either Trenton, NJ or Acton, MA.  The position will oversee all EAR-controlled transactions from a trade compliance perspective, including but not limited to guiding the business on licensing requirements, reviewing transactions and related documents for compliance with the U.S. trade compliance regulations, ensuring maintenance of  records as required by regulation and performing training and other trade compliance functions. The role demands high communication and collaboration skills to interact with the various stakeholders of the business including offices in China, Germany, the UK and elsewhere.  The role will report to the  Trade Compliance Manager for the SciCam companies and the general manager of Teledyne Princeton Instruments. 
 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee all trade compliance activities for the TPI business while participating in the larger trade compliance team across the Digital Imaging segment.
• Review international orders for proper documentation; provide assistance and guidance as necessary, to ensure completeness and/or appropriateness of paperwork to facilitate license and red-flag evaluation.
• Screen transactional documents including end user certificates for military end use and military end users, denied parties, prohibited end uses, red flags check and other concerns to determine licensing needs of transactions.
• Work with business in the gathering of documents in support of the preparation and submission of US export authorizations, as applicable.
• Review requests for demonstrations and determine when authorizations are needed.
• Act as direct operational point of contract on behalf of the Teledyne Corporate or Digital Imaging Trade Compliance management, as needed.
• Conduct visitor reviews and approvals.
• Assist engineers in the jurisdictional and classification analysis of parts whenever necessary.
• Identify training needs and develop and deliver export compliance training based on government regulations, functional  and company requirements.
• Assist in the creation, review and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure company’s proper use and administration of US Government licenses and exceptions.
• Maintain export-related recordkeeping functions for the TPI offices as required by law.
• Participate in conducting internal compliance audits on a periodic basis.
• Stay abreast of current U.S. export regulations, procedures, laws, policies, etc.
• Create and maintain relationships with various functions and offices throughout TPI.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field (or combination of education and experience).
• 5-7 years of direct experience with the US export laws and regulations, especially the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
• Strong Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Experience in OCR EASE,  and SAP highly beneficial
• Knowledge of OFAC regulations, country-specific sanctions programs and end use restrictions
• Knowledge of the tariff classification and valuation principles and laws preferred
• Technical expertise in export laws & regulations, including classifications, end use checks, sanctions programs, licensing and restricted party screening
• Experience in development and implementation of export compliance procedures
• Excellent analytical and organization skills including ability to collect, structure, analyze and communicate data

The In-Vitro Diagnostics/ Precision Medicine Quality strategy is focused on all aspects of research and development at Amgen, spanning from discovery through the entire lifecycle of clinical development. • Develop collaborative partnerships with Research and Development (R&D) to help establish the state of quality and potential areas of quality risk exposure. Contributes to the use of innovative methods for improving the quality oversight for Amgen’s IVD and Precision Medicine programs.

• Collaborate with colleagues in a cross-matrixed environment and ensure that Amgen’s R&D efforts, including partnerships and third parties, are aligned to industry best practices and all regulations.

• Support the implementation of IVD quality management strategies to ensure compliance to an evolving and complex IVD regulatory landscape, particularly in the European Union.

• Leverages metrics (KQI, KPI leading and lagging) related to IVD and Precision Medicine for Quality Management System performance and improvement.

• Collaborate with clinical trial teams to ensure that all respective critical to quality components are incorporated into clinical trial design, execution, and support of regulatory filings.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IVD regulations and applicable guidance; monitor development of regulations and communicate impact to the business.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced global trade professional to join a growing legal compliance team. In this role, you will manage global trade-related procedures and projects while also participating in and supporting the broader Applied Materials Global Trade and Legal & Compliance Organization teams. The Manager PQA will play a key role in the Quality Assurance team, focused on building a strong PQA team and establishing efficient Plant Quality processes. The PQA team leads all aspects of quality of manufacturing operations (assembly and packaging) and is responsible for batch disposition of the produced Finished Drug Product at the site. Your team will work closely with the manufacturing team to assure product is produced according to quality standards and in alignment with the regulatory filing. The team assures the Finished Drug Product is dispositioned in a timely manner to supply every patient every time.

You will support all activities for the set-up of the new assembly and packaging area, working closely with manufacturing to define production processes using a risk-based approach. You will build and own an impactful PQA team supporting manufacturing in a shift structure that may include second, third and/or weekend as a normal schedule.

• Own the realization of operational activities for PQA while providing technical expertise/guidance to the staff and ensuring Finished Drug Product is dispositioned in a timely manner; handle daily operations in relation to planning and management of the team and their tasks.
• Responsible for selection, training, evaluation, staff relations and development of staff. Interacts with management in optimizing organizational structure and responsibilities.
• Provide oversight of the QMS process implementation applied in manufacturing, including deviation management, CAPAs, work-orders and change controls.
• Interact with Manufacturing, Process Development and other partners for raised cases of deviations related to process, equipment or materials.
• Ensure that all operations follow applicable regulations and Amgen requirements relating to Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, Safety, and other controls.
• Own and review related SOPs, methods, protocols and reports. Provide training and oversight for staff.
• Support and represent PQA during audits and inspections; may directly interact with regulatory agencies during on-site inspections.
• Provide project management support, leading efforts to drive timely achievement of tasks and develop strategies for equipment implementation. Drive Lean Transformation and Operational Excellence initiatives.

Doctorate degree

Or

Master’s degree and 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device or biotechnology industry

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device or biotechnology industry

Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device or biotechnology industry

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device or biotechnology industry

THE ROLE

Insomniac is looking for a Ground Control and Headliner Experience Team Member to provide an exceptional experience to headliners. This position will report to Ground Control and Headliner Experience Managers.

              

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome attendees at entrances and make everyone aware of Ground Control’s presence and purpose
• Abide by assigned shift schedule, pump water at the free water refill stations and patrol the event zones at correct times with assigned group mates
• Learn how to operate a two-way radio and perform emergency medical calls
• Listen attentively to the radio and respond immediately to specific calls and requests
• Assist distressed individuals when they are in need of a helping hand
• Memorize information provided by the event website, festival guide and staff guide to share with attendees
• Understand evacuation procedures and locate safe refuge locations prior to the opening of each show
• Provide support at entrance areas using megaphones to assist Headliners with directional support

QUALIFICATIONS

• Customer service-related work experience is preferred
• Experience using radios and ability to work under pressure in stressful environments is required
• Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
• Must be able to professionally interact with all levels of individuals in a courteous manner and de-escalate situations before they become unpleasant.
• Must be able to stand on your feet for up to four hours at a time and walk long distances
• Must be able to lift up to 20lbs

What you'll be doing:

You will support the drive of a proactive safety culture, by developing and upskilling your team to consistently support Veolia business operations in their day to day activities. And by playing an active part in the improvement programme, you will be leading your team to be part of the development and leading the implementation.

You will:

• Work across Veolia operations, ensuring a consistent approach on how sites are supported and audited, working with the SLA on the frequency of site visits depending on the risk profile, supporting the drive of a pro-active culture by ensuring your team actively supports the operations; including solutions and sharing good practice.

• Carry out trend analysis to identify areas for improvement and where operations require further support.
• Lead or ensure your team supports the event investigation depending on the severity and review the quality of investigations carried out by the team to ensure the route cause has been identified, and where appropriate support the Sector Head on producing a performance review (lessons learnt).
• Liaise with regulatory authorities /auditors and/ or customers as and when required, and work with operational teams to ensure improvements are identified and incorporated into site improvement plans.
• Presentation skills - You will be delivering key messages to all Senior Leadership/Key Stakeholders

What we're looking for:

You will have working knowledge of the fundamentals of Risk Management (IRM), as well as managing Process Performance / Managing Change and Continual Improvement (CQI).

People management and previous experience of the development of a team will be key - as is experience of different operational activities with a motivation to drive improvements within the business to achieve a proactive culture.

You will also need strong communication skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels.

Having experience of implementing successful change programmes and an appreciation of all aspects of R&A including H&S, Environment and Risk is also key.

And if you have achieved or are working towards a management and leadership degree/ certification (ILM Level 5 or equivalent) this would be advantageous but not essential.
