As a Financial Compliance Manager (Chief, Office of Compliance), you will:

• Direct and monitor the Bureau's internal control, product accountability, and internal quality audit program to provide reasonable assurance that assets are safeguarded from loss, misuse, or misappropriation, and to ensure conformance with the Bureau's quality management system.
• Oversee the planning and conducting of independent reviews of Bureau organizations, programs, systems and activities to assess the adequacy of and to improve internal controls and compliance with internal and external control-related requirements.
• Provide monthly and other periodic reports to executive level management in the Bureau regarding outstanding corrective actions and controls reviews.
• Serve as a member, Ex Officio, on the Bureau's executive level Internal Control Policy Committee (ICPC) and advise ICPC regarding internal control and audit related issues.
• Perform such human resources functions as interviewing staff, resolving employee complaints, effecting disciplinary measures, initiating personnel actions and training, developing staff (e-performance and workforce analysis), and supporting affirmative action programs that are typical of Office Chief positions in BEP.

Included but are not limited to:

• Implementing an effective and ongoing performance improvement program to monitor, evaluate and improve the quality, safety and appropriateness of care delivered to patients.
• Aligns Quality, Safety and Value with leadership roles, strategic planning and organizational culture.
• Aggregates data and participates in budget process to plan for current, emerging and future resource requirements (human, financial materiel and/or informational) based on Veteran care systems that produce high quality outcomes.
• Provides leadership in addressing ethical issues that impact the patient and staff in, or beyond, the organization and the local health care community

About the team

This role is a part of our Quality Team. 

What you will be doing

• Independent process audit & compliance verification
• Leading issue mitigation for operational breaks, identify root cause, make recommendations for future prevention
• Provide governance to ensure remediation and improvements.
• Facilitate project teams in closure of verification gaps
• Ensure readiness of internal and external clients for any Audits & Compliance review with metrics
• Generate and report QCA related metrics and share the status review with senior Leaders in management
• Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis
• Ensure that the best use of resources to meet goals is established and maintained
• Other related duties assigned as needed

What you bring:

• Expertise in Transactional Quality (Front/Back office), Analytical Skills and Stakeholder Management
• Experience in wealth & retirement
• Should have exposure of Quality Tools / Quality insights
• Quality transformation projects using speech analytics
• Exposure to various call recording and monitoring software- NICE, Verint, etc..
• Thorough knowledge and experience conducting risk analyses, quality assessments, audits and/or studies and implementing successful process improvement programs
• Should be good at problem solving and debugging with good analytical skills
• Ability to succeed in an agile work environment where cross-functional teams work closely together to ensure requirements are met or exceeded
• Excellent stakeholder management, conflict management skills and ability to influence as a thought leader in QA space
