Coordinate and manage IG operations in support of research, keeping the Head of IG, the Director for Research, and the Chief Operating Officer for INSIGHT apprised of outcomes and escalating issues as appropriate. Provide expert and specialist IG advice and expertise on health research and related data access initiatives, developing high-quality, user-friendly and accurate guidance in a range of formats. Provide expertise and advice on research management and proposals (grant applications), including research ethics and data sharing/licensing and/or service agreements involving personal data, liaising with the Head of IG and Moorfields General Counsel where appropriate. Develop and provide tailored IG training and guidance for research colleagues. Investigate and report on IG complaints and incidents in line with Trust policy as required, particularly where they are linked to research. Coordinate, develop and review appropriate information-sharing protocols that provide clarity of purpose and enable streamlining of information disclosure routes. Ensure the Trust is compliant with legislative requirement for data sharing or licensing. Support research leadership with the production of IG related data and reports, including for Moorfields Research Management Committee, Research Governance Committee, and for HDRUK purposes. Provide input to the Trusts IG and corporate risk registers and reporting requirements. Manage the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) activity, including the collation and provision of evidence, and coordination of returns. Assist with DPA requests relating to research (including requests that overlap between the DPA and the FoIA) and respond to DPA complaints where necessary. To assist the Head of IG with IG Departmental work planning. This includes planning and coordinating specialist project advice and technical support, planning and coordinating specialist advice and guidance. There is an expectation that the postholder may be responsible for contractors/consultants hired to undertake a discrete piece of service work, and/or agency temporary staff. Monitor and support internal and management audit of research processes to identify IG gaps or weaknesses in current practices or systems. Ensure all recommendations are implemented to deliver an improvement in the research function delivery. Provide leadership for, and the IG element of research governance groups, ensuring terms of references are up to date and aligned with other governance structures at the Trust Manage, support and develop the Information Compliance Officer. Attend external Information Governance and Research Forums to develop strong and productive relationships with Information Governance leads in other NHS organisations and with wider stakeholders and to help influence the national policy agenda on Information Governance.

THE CANDIDATE
We are seeking a candidate with previous experience in a similar frontline public housing service role, especially in property compliance and procurement.

• Proven experience in marketing and procurement of private sector properties with a track record in lettings.
• Strong knowledge of housing law, security of tenure, and health and safety for temporary accommodations.
• Familiarity with private leasing schemes, including financial and operational considerations.
• Understanding of rough sleepers' needs within temporary accommodations.
• Skilled in partnership working, negotiation, and case management.

THE CONTRACT

• 36 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
• 12 weeks with potential for extension or a permanent position

You’ll have experience in Quality Assurance processes, internal or external auditing and functional oversight of organisations. Previous experience in Managing Certifications Audits would be beneficial.

This includes maintaining evidence of no-access attempts from staff and contractors.
Contact customers, contractors and internal staff with regards to queries relating to servicing programmes.
Contact Managing Agents to get building safety information such as fire risk assessments on properties where Wandle do not directly manage the properties.
Manage team inboxes, general enquiries and CRM workflows from internal and external customers and contractors.
Manage Wandle websites for specific sites to keep residents informed of ongoing work by monitoring to keep updated, liaising with the web developers with updates and working with Building Safety and Asset Management Team members to provide updated information.
Carry out resident engagement activities such as consulting with residents and providing building safety information to residents in a variety of formats. This includes managing building safety content for Wandle’s customer portal. including mailouts to residents in the applicable blocks. Support any necessary customer consultation activity by helping to ensure that customers and other stakeholders are aware of plans and proposals.
Extract and manipulate compliance data from compliance systems for report requests, following up with team members to check the accuracy of the data to help ensure reliable compliance data is provided.
Support the Building Safety & Property Compliance Team to maintain and keep up to date servicing records, working with the compliance and data officers to ensure up to date records on corporate systems.
Maintain accurate compliance data on relevant systems. File certification in an orderly and logical manner so to allow its rapid retrieval in shared folders and on compliance/asset systems.


What you will need to have:

Educated to a minimum of GCSE, or equivalent standard, with specific emphasis on the ability to demonstrate effective communication and accurate literacy and numeracy
Social Housing experience (Desirable)
Experience in building safety / compliance activities (Desirable)
Knowledge of relevant social housing / building safety legislation (Desirable)
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Effective workload management, working to deadlines
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with people at all levels
Ability to build and maintain business relationships
Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience using CRM systems (such as Dynamics)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Control Centre Operator to join our Highways Business.

Based within the Volker Highways Control Centre, the Control Centre Operator is an indispensable part of the proactive and reactive response service for all Volker Highways contracts, being the first point of contact for the emergency response calls from various organisations. The tasks undertaken in this role ensure that the network is safe for the public and without congestion by allocating works to the operatives for emergency and miscellaneous tasks in a co-ordinated manner. The role will also include using Volker Highways' ATOM system, ERCC App and various client systems by instructing and monitoring works orders, permits and emergency responses which are essential to ensuring the company is contractually compliant in all operational matters.

About you

• An understanding of Emergency response
• An understanding of the highway authority contracts
• Previous experience in a control centre environment desirable
