About The Role
Job Purpose:

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for supporting the full software development lifecycle through the planning, design and execution of system testing on projects of varying sizes and complexities to ensure the delivery of high quality business critical applications and reports.

The QA Analyst will work within the IT department and collaboratively with other areas of the business to execute and validate test cases based upon system requirements.

The QA Analyst will also deliver management information and perform ad-hoc analysis to the business as and when required.

Key Accountabilities:

To define and execute the testing strategy

To carry out both blackbox and whitebox testing to appropriate testing standards which will cover the following: unit, integration, functional, system, stress, performance, usability, acceptance and regression testing
To identify appropriate tools and automate testing wherever necessary
To accurately record and monitor issues and report on progress
To sign off new functionality / reports from an IT perspective
To communicate test findings clearly and accurately to relevant stakeholders (both internal and external)

Person Specification - Essential Criteria
Experience
At least 3 years’ experience in a QA Analysis related role.
Demonstrable experience of working on the full software development lifecycle.
Demonstrable experience of working with test management tools and managing issues through to completion.
Demonstrable experience of testing processes and techniques, including automated testing.
Demonstrable experience of advanced reporting and data analysis utilising SQL databases.
Demonstrable experience of working on large, complex system implementations.
Leading and contributing to large meetings with varying levels of stakeholders.
Skills

What you'll be doing...

In this new and important role, the focus will be on auditing and coaching the business on allergen best practices. This role will help elevate the importance the business places on the proactive management of allergens, drive compliance and awareness across the business, and develop a culture where allergen management and compliance is fundamental at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular audits/spot checks of allergen activities (menu development through to service to customer) with our Site Managers. As necessary write an action plan and implement immediate corrective actions. Report back to Operational Directors. Follow up and ensure that action plans are completed and closed out.
• Carry our site-based coaching on allergen best practices where site audit findings are below Company standards.
• Ensure there is a site allergen Self-Assessment Process in place, that self-assessments are carried out, and that we drive 100% completion and greater awareness and ownership.
• Feedback to central teams (Safety & Wellbeing / Food Team) on what works/does not work from an allergen management/policy perspective in our sites, so working practises can be adapted and improved.
• Review monthly training compliance data, and discuss with operational teams to drive completion rates across the business.
• Develop a monthly reporting framework on allergen practices across the business which summarises the month's activity/findings so improvements can be taken on allergen policy and best practices.
• Support the Safety and Wellbeing team in reviewing allergen training materials to ensure up-to-date and to drive 100% compliance across the business.
• Develop and implement an 'Allergen Champion' framework to drive best practices and knowledge on allergen management across the business.
• Develop customer service standards/signage in dealing with allergen queries or questions from customers, so colleagues are better equipped and confident to deal with customer queries.

Our Protection Teams work to ensure compliance with fire safety laws and offer advice and support to a wide range of commercial and residential premises. We have changed our delivery model to ensure our Fire Safety Regulators can focus on key areas and now have specialised Fire Safety Teams, including a Risk Reduction Team proactively auditing from our Risk Based Inspection Programme, an Investigations and Enforcement Team that tackles non-compliance, a Technical and Consultations Team who lead on influencing the safety of the built environment and Higher Risk Team who lead on the regulation of high rise buildings, hospitals and other high-risk sites.

As a Fire Safety Inspector your core role will be to audit premises, provide advice and guidance to responsible persons and take enforcement action where necessary. You will play an integral role in engaging with businesses this may be through delivering presentations, arranging events, or working on guidance.

You will work with partners to ensure that fire safety for the public and firefighters is considered through their work this may be responding to consultations, developing new ways of working or participating in multi-agency initiatives. As you develop your skills and experience you will be involved in complex enforcement including carrying out investigations.

Our Protection Teams are based at a variety of locations and you will need to be prepared to work all over Greater Manchester. These roles attract essential car user allowance and you must have a valid driving licence and be able to provide a vehicle for work purposes.

Roles in our Investigations and Enforcement Team require out-of-hours working on a self-rostering shift system for which a 10% enhancement is paid. In a 12-week period Fire Safety Regulators are required to work 16 late and 6 weekend shifts, these shifts are worked between 2pm and 10pm.

You'll work alongside suppliers and drive quality performance, as well as collaborating with our internal teams to set the position and manage the ongoing quality of own brand products. Ultimately, we'll look to you to work across the supply chain to make sure our quality standards are met and delivered for our customers and member-owners.

What you'll do

• Make sure work is prioritised in line with delivering our Co-op Own Brand Strategy
• Be responsible for the end-to-end quality of our Co-op Own Brand product range
• Collaborate with supplier sites, depots, stores, and our head office teams to review quality and prioritise resource within your category
• Make sure resource is directed to the right places to deliver the expected quality through the end-to-end supply chain
• Build strong relationships with the store and depot operations teams to make sure we are communicating key messages relating to quality procedures
• Monitor compliance of our Co-op Own Brand products against our quality assurance standards

We are working alongside a well established Social Housing Contractor who specialise in retrofit and energy efficiency projects to tenanted Social Housing properties.

This will be based from their companies Lancashire offices and may require some travel across the North West to the company's active sites which are located in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire regions and potentially further afield where necessary.
