What skills, knowledge and experience will you need to show us in your application? 

• Providing testing leadership and guidance determine the most appropriate strategies to deliver quality solutions in a SaaS environment*

You and your role 

You will be part of our Tech Services Communication and Collaboration Team on items such as Sensitivity Labels and Cross-Government Collaboration projects that DWP is leading on.

You'll give technical and strategic leadership to multiple Testers across our product teams.

That means overseeing the products they deliver, support and test, and includes environment maintenance, upgrades, and availability, tooling support and defect triage.

What you'll be doing

As Credit Control Team Member you will be accountable for:

Role Specific

• Chase and collect outstanding debt on assigned regional ledger
• Chase and collect overdue invoices as per the required service level agreement
• Resolve invoice queries in a timely manner
• Liaise with the wider finance and commercial teams to resolve queries and issues on overdue debt
• Weekly reporting on account and ledger status
• Escalate problematic accounts to the credit control manager as required
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times

Team Specific

• Work with colleagues within the Accounts Receivable team to handle inbound calls
• Maintain good knowledge of ERP and other systems
• Communicate within team to resolve queries efficiently
• Engage positively with team meetings, huddles and wider business forums
• Support team members with workload during time of absence or high activity, to ensure business needs are met

Who we're looking for

The following qualities are essential:

• Effective time management skills
• Excellent communication skills – telephone manner and customer service

The following experience is desirable, but not essential:

• Degree in accountancy, business or other related field,

Fixed Wire Testers

Fixed Wire Testers are needed for mobile roles for our client who is a large electrical compliance company

A van, PDA and a fuel card and full kit is supplied by our client and the basic salary is 36k + a good bonus scheme, the OTE is 42k minimum for this role and the these roles are permanent positions

Overtime will be available and our client supplies the following- Pension, Paid Holidays and Bank Holidays, Test Equipment, Van (Fuel card and personal use included), Phone & Laptop, Uniform, PPE and Hotels booked and paid for and evening meal and breakfast paid

Bonus Scheme- Weekday KPI target - 45 circuits per day / 225 per week (both to be achieved) and bonus after KPI is hit at £2.80 per circuit and Weekend circuit rate - £3.50 per circuit

The work is carrying out works within various commercial, industrial and hospital environments

It is essential that any candidates meet the following criteria, 17th or 18th Edition, and C&G Electrical qualifications such as for example NVQ level 3 or equivalent and a testing qualification such as 2391/4/5 with experience of testing and inspection

Candidates will need to be willing to work away from home when needed and to do some Weekend and Night works when needed (good rates and allowance is paid)

Candidates will need to pass a Disclosure Check and have the correct right to work documents needed such as a passport

Your new role Working as part of a financial operations team, you will take responsibility for tax and VAT activities. You will provide strategic, expert and customer valued financial and taxation information and advice to both internal and external customers. Your aim will be to develop and maintain standardised ways of working within the team and across the organisation, ensuring effective and efficient processes and templates, and maintain full legal and compliance standards, ensuring accurate data and records. As someone who keeps up to date with corporation tax and VAT legislative changes and requirements as well as identifying opportunities for tax efficiencies, as appropriate, you will also provide assistance with employment tax compliance and advice in relation to global mobility. In addition the broader role will encompass the provision of support to the financial accounts team with aspects of monthly and annual reporting, as well as supporting the preparation of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations. You will work closely with the capital and income accountant on month end capital reporting and controls and support, particularly in the preparation and audit of the statutory accounts. As part of the wider role, through progression, the opportunity to supervise the treasury function through monitoring and authorising payments on a day-to-day basis and contributing to the development and implementation of changes to treasury management.


What you'll need to succeed
This role would suit you as a qualified accountant with a desire to further develop and progress your technical and tax accounting skills by giving focus to this whilst working as part of a collaborative financial accounting team. Additionally, the opportunity to work with wider operational teams providing advice and support on new projects will reflect your ambitious and engaging nature. With a demonstrable track record in process and procedural delivery, good knowledge of tax and VAT, and a learning mindset, you will enjoy working collaboratively whilst maintaining subject-matter expert status, and have the ability to explain technical aspects of your role to non-financial colleagues.
