The post will be based at either Hammersmith or the Charing Cross site and will require studying online on a weekly basis and in addition to independent learning. You will participate in the preparation of chemotherapy, clinical trials and parenteral nutrition, for both adults and neonates. The post holder will also play an active role in the day to day running of the aseptic unit.

The Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust’s Hepatology Clinical Research Facility (CRF) for clinical research and investigation is based on the 10thFloor of the Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Wing at St Mary’s Campus and provides a state of the art, designated area for hepatology academics and hepatology clinicians to perform clinical research projects involving both patients with liver conditions and healthy volunteers.

The postwill specifically help Principal Investigators and the research nursing team with patient recruitment into commercially sponsored clinical drug trials (alcohol, hepatitis, and fatty liver) and the ongoing management of patients according to the study protocols.

In undertaking this role, the Clinical Research Fellow will gain experience in the management of clinical trials and novel therapeutics in chronic liver disease.

The post is initially for 6 months, but will be renewable, and is suitable for a junior grade doctor (FY2 – FY5) who has a minimum of 1 year’s post registration, recent experience of working in the NHS in a medical post, and who is looking to learn and develop clinical research skills.GMC registration and licence to practice are essential.

· Support the timely delivery of clinical studies, in-line with the requirements of sponsors, GCP (Good Clinical Practice), and other appropriate guidelines and regulations

· Provide medical assessment and cover for selected studies in the Hepatology CRF working alongside other clinical teams

Perform clinical procedures as appropriate to the assigned study (including, but not limited to, clinical examinations or testing, insertion of intravenous lines, assessment of adverse events and management of medical emergencies)

· Ensure that patients/volunteers in assigned studies give fully informed consent in writing before commencing a study

· Assess and interpret safety and clinical data from assigned studies, e.g. vital signs, ECG's, laboratory tests, adverse events etc.

· Follow up and report Adverse Events as necessary. Communicate safety issues to the Principal Investigator, report Serious Adverse Events in accordance with Good Clinical Practice

· Ensure that all clinical activities within the CRF are conducted in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

· Attend clinics and provide clinical cross cover where appropriate

The Women’s Health Research Centre (WHRC) at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust / Imperial College London is at the forefront of research aimed at improving outcomes and experiences in women's reproductive health and childbirth.

At the current time, WHRC is looking to appoint a Clinical Research Assistant Practitioner to work on the Generation Study which is sponsored by Genomics England. The study focuses on screening neonates for approximately 200 rare conditions at birth using umbilical cord blood. The postholder will assist with sample collection, data management and registration of participants whilst adhering to the principles of GCP. The role will also involve ordering consumables and supporting the research team with participant recruitment.

The postholder of this new role will work within the WHRC research team and be able to develop specialist research skills with new opportunities in a vibrant and dynamic environment. The CRF provides comfortable clinical accommodation for volunteers and patients participating in studies requiring 24h in-house monitoring as well as facilities for day case visits. It is equipped to cater for complex studies from across the range of medical disciplines and provides close proximity space for clinical research fellows, nurses and allied healthcare professionalsOur portfolio of early phase oncology and haematology studies is increasing and we are therefore looking for a motivated, skillful and knowledgeable SACT trained nurse, who works well as part of a team. Imperial College Hospitals NHS Trust is looking to appoint a Research Registrar in Otolaryngology. Applications are sought from a higher surgical trainee in Otolaryngology in the UK to perform an initial 12 month period of research at Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust with the start date October 2024. This post incorporates some operating and clinics and take part in on-call rota. There will be the opportunity to extend for 3 years should the applicant register for a PhD at Imperial College London. It is the intention that the research will lead to the award of a PhD.



The applicant will support with the training junior doctors in the ENT surgery department and also work and assist in supervising MSc students working within the same project area. In addition, will take part in recruitment for ongoing trials, such as Keynote 689 and NIFTY.

During their time in the ENT department, the post holder can expect to improve their clinical and surgical skills. For 50% of the week, candidates will be expected to develop a research project and apply for funding under the supervision of a clinical academic orthopaedic surgeon. The aim of the Senior Research Facilitator post is to provide research set-up, management and delivery support to studies undertaken in the Divisions. They will support research studies at various stages, from expressions of interest and feasibility, all the way to regulatory submissions, operational setup and delivery.

The department has excellent experience in education and training in medical physics, and hosts the London North Medical Physics Training Consortium.

The service has five Varian TrueBeam linacs, a CT scanner, an Xstrahl unit and an Elekta Flexitron HDR brachytherapy unit. The department delivers stereotactic cranial radiotherapy (SRS) and SABR for a range of sites. Planning is carried out on Raystation, Eclipse, Elements (SRS) and Oncentra Brachy. You will participate in the roll out of projects being undertaken by the department, including AI for auto-contouring.

The Radiation Physics &Radiobiology Department has close links with Imperial College and departmental staff deliver medical physics modules on M.Sc. programmes.

Assist with the provision of technical and scientific support to all aspects of the work of the Radiation Physics Department

Assist with the measurement of radiation output from treatment machines such as high-energy linear accelerators and high-activity radioactive sources used to produce therapeutic radiation beams.
