Department Overview
 

Clinical Data Sciences is the function that manages the collection of clinical trial data and prepares it so it can be used for analysis to support a regulatory submission. It combines the disciplines of medical and scientific knowledge with IT skills including database design and system validation.

The CDS department is responsible for data management within Pfizer and ensures all clinical data is collected and managed to Good Clinical Practice and all associated regulations. CDS’s purpose is to deliver the right data, with integrity, on time, every time.

What can I achieve and what will I be responsible for whilst completing a placement at Pfizer?

As part of the Clinical Data Sciences group, an integral delivery unit within the Global Biometrics and Data Management (GBDM) organization, the Junior Data Manager is accountable for timely and high quality data review and query management of clinical data supporting the Pfizer portfolio.  The Junior Data Manager executes on key data management deliverables used to collect, review, monitor, and ensure the integrity of clinical data..

Other tasks will include:

•            Participate in CDS activities including data review and query management, ensures quality database design including documentation, testing, validation, and implementation of clinical data collection tools, CRF and non-CRF, using an electronic data capture (EDC) system and/or other data collection systems. 

•            Assist with work carried out in accordance with applicable SOPs and working practices.

•            Assist with the required study-specific CDS documents in the Trial Master File (TMF) are of high quality and are filed contemporaneously to support downstream inspection and submission readiness activities.

•            Assist with operational excellence in partnership with Data Manager and CDS for application of standards, data acquisition, proactive data review and query management, data cleaning, e-data processing, data access and visualization, DM metrics reporting, database release, and submission related activities.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Type of person we are looking for, in relation to ‘Skills’, ‘Knowledge’ and ‘Motivation’:

• Completing placement as part of University Degree either through Year In Industry/Industrial Placement or Gap Year (Health Sciences experience or Technology degree preferred)
• Has fundamental knowledge of clinical development and pharmaceuticals as a regulated industry
• Has fundamental knowledge of healthcare regulatory authorities (e.g. FDA, Health Canada)
• Ability to learn clinical data management processes and principles in area of responsibility.
• Demonstrates required verbal and written communication skills including ability to communicate remotely
• Minimum 0-2 years Data Management university experience required
• Capable to learn technical data systems
• Capable to learn how to use data visualization tools (e.g. Spotfire,  J-Review)
• Awareness of MedDRA/WHO-Drug preferred
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

DSST Public Schools is looking for a Creative Content Manager to drive online marketing and communications efforts for the network, with a strong emphasis on building the capacity of our schools to effectively communicate and engage with their stakeholders. They will review digital opportunities, aid the marketing team and schools, oversee the annual social media marketing plan and schedule, create social media posts, and coordinate the update of digital assets for DSST Home Office and Schools. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation

• Create strong branded content on social media and our website using strong writing, design and management of systems.

• Serve as a key member of the DSST Marketing and Communications Team by working collaboratively to build efficient systems and take creative ideas from concept to final product.

• Assist in the creation and oversight of branded assets and communications.

Campaign Management

• Support in producing digital communications and marketing pieces, including, emails, website copy, and blogs for print and digital. 

• Support DSST’s digital marketing and communication in alignment with managing our marketing tools including social media, communication apps, ReachWell, and DSST’s website.

• Create promotional materials relating to school and campaign events.

• Lead content brainstorming, creation, and feedback gathering with the following Home Office teams: DEI, Advocacy, Family & Community Engagement, Alumni, and more

School Collaboration

• Monitor DSST school communications to stay informed about school events and updates; report relevant information back to the broader team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of digital or interactive marketing experience required

• Has an understanding of digital advertising and social media (direct, social, search, etc.) and media industry trends, developments, and technologies; then uses this knowledge to present business building strategies

• Strong communication and creative skills across multiple mediums, ranging from written words to video and user-interface design

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharma Materials Manager to join team, at our client’s site in Macclesfield. You will take ownership of managing a GMP warehouse, shipping, and sample dispatch service operations, as well as line managing team of 8-10 associates.

We are offering this role on a full time, temporary basis – maternity cover for 12-18 months.

The Team 

You’ll be leading and mentoring a team of 8-10 associates, who are based across two business areas: GMP High Bay Warehouse – highly regulated, automated warehouse, and Sample Dispatch Unit – receiving samples from scientists and sending them to recipients all over the world. It’s a close-knit team, with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

You’ll join an experienced, supportive leadership team that are looking after different areas of the business. It’s a diverse, open-minded team that likes to challenge each other in a positive way.

What we’re looking for?

• Education: Science-related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is an advantage
• Experience:
• 3 – 5 years of line management responsibility
• Multiple years’ experience working in GxP regulated environments with proven management and leadership responsibility. Understanding of regulatory aspects in GxP working environments preferably in the Pharma industry
• Up to date knowledge of IATA/IMDG/ADT regulations
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to converse and present material at all levels, both verbally, in text and through presentations using various IT systems, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong formal writing skills in order to author GMP documentation
• Knowledge of external audit requirements, change control, deviations/CAPAs, Known Consigner status
• Subject Matter Expert in Safety and Inventory Management systems

• Management of daily operations within our GMP High Bay Warehouse, Sample Dispatch Unit and shipping services; making sure receipting, sampling, packing, labelling, warehousing and distributing activities are executed on time and in line with GMP requirements
• Leadership and line-management of a team of 8-10 on-site employees providing multiple scientific services to various customer departments
• Management and investigations of Deviations, CAPA’s and Change Controls
• Ensures that the GMP facilities, equipment and critical instruments are validated, serviced and calibrated according to agreed schedules
• Ensuring the facilities are audit ready at all times, writing and reviewing GMP documentation

In your role as Regulatory Affairs Manager (m/f/d) you will support product registrations, provide design input and assess changes to ensure regulatory product availability on global markets.

Your assignments:

• Obtain and sustain global registrations for product portfolio as per Regulatory Strategy and product roadmap

In your role as Senior Project Manager Supply Chain Management (m/f/d) you will be responsible for providing comprehensive planning, execution, and overall leadership of multiple medium to large-scale initiatives designed to drive and sustain end to end Supply Chain process improvement.

Your Assignments

• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentation to various audience, including project team, sponsors and key stakeholders
• Manage complex projects that span multiple lines of business mainly in the area of process improvement, e.g. demand and supply planning, distribution and transportation, quality release etc
• Set and continuously manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverables across various team/business units and stakeholders
• Act as a subject matter expert in Project Management, Process Improvement and Strategy Planning
• Guide and collaborate with Supply Chain Excellence team to drive process improvement installing best practices, templates, policies, and tools etc
• Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercise judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

Your Profile

• Successfully completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in field of supply chain management (SCM), engineering, economics or equivalent
• Experiences and / or in-depth knowledge of SCM is a must
• APICS certification / experience in Inventory Management is a strong plus
• Lean Six Sigma is an advantage
• More than 5 years extensive project management experience in a similar role, within a cross-functional matrix environment in a global organization
• Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering projects within defined timeline and budget
• Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs
• Willingness to work in an evolving environment and collaborate across multiple business areas to achieve common business objectives
• Technologically savvy with new tools / features within SCM landscape
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Fluent in English both in written and spoken, German language is a plus
