Responsibilities:

• Manage transport operations (inbound/outbound) for bulk and packaged goods using various transportation modes.
• Evaluate, monitor, and improve performance of 3rd party service providers; manage non-conformance issues and support service provider selection.
• Optimize transportation processes based on market research and customer feedback to meet business needs.

The Branch manager is responsible for a branch that includes four small and three medium hub airports. This responsibility includes 306 Federally funded airports throughout Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri including more than 35 Part 139 certified airports.

Supervises the assistant branch manager and technical staff of up to 17 employees staff engaged in administering all aspects of Airports programs.

The selectee is responsible for overseeing and directing the implementation of the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) ensuring, at a high level, the appropriate coordination (both internal and external) takes place. The program involves airport planning (airport master planning, state and/or metropolitan system planning) and implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act. The AIP requires annual updates to the office of Airports Capital Improvement Plan (ACIP) and includes primary and non-primary airports.
