Undertaking delivery duties in accordance with the procurement standards; ensuring goods are delivered according to schedules. Maintaining and using adequate manual handling tools, materials and consumables in order for delivery duties to be carried out. To help ward staff in the acceptance of goods on delivery, ensuring goods are delivered to an agreed location and are not left in any way obstruction safe movement in and out of the wards or area of delivery. To pick and process orders from a central location such as bulk stores and delivery as necessary. Reporting to the Supervisor for work priorities and the Deputy Logistics Manager for support and guidance as and when required. To work as part of a team in the delivery of the service, ensuring all materials and equipment are used in a cost effective manner.
