As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Serve as a senior advisor for transportation, deployment, distribution, supply chain management.
• Review, evaluate, and analyze distribution network performance to identify potential issues and process improvement opportunities in the distribution network using business intelligence software and analytical tools.
• Coordinate with joint forces, multi-nation forces, host nation, and other U.S. government (USG) departments and agencies, Inter Governmental Organizations (IGOs),and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs).
• Monitor, assess, and direct distribution operations assuring the concept of support is effectively executed.

The Primary Purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) work leader and aircraft Dedicated Crew Chief over a crew of three or more workers/mechanics. In this capacity, the work leader/crew chief coordinates and oversees all maintenance/scheduled inspections performed on his/her assigned aircraft. While performing such duties is considered as being the technical authority of the assigned aircraft, providing instructional guidance, making work arrangements, and insuring the production pace is maintained. Performs non-leader trades and labor work as a member of the work crew. Trains reservists in the accomplishment of duties and responsibilities set forth herein.

Duty 1. Serves as a Work Leader/Dedicated Crew Chief of assigned aircraft, responsible for effectively coordinating and/or overseeing maintenance, troubleshooting, positioning, appearance and servicing of the aircraft. Responsible for the total airworthiness of the assigned aircraft.
Duty 2: Performs and/or oversees aircraft inspections including preflight, post flight, phase, acceptance, and other scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
Duty 3: Provides technical supervision on production matters to all employees assigned to the crew/team, which may include active duty, ARTs, civilians, and others.
Duty 4: Enforces and complies with safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area.
Duty 5: Leads verification and certification of work processes and procedures and adequacy of work accomplished by qualified mechanics and trainees.

1. Observes, documents, and evaluates carrier and contractor performance. Inspects contractor's performance at owner's residence and at warehouse during packing, crating, loading, shipping, unloading, uncrating and unpacking.
2. Counsels members regarding policies and procedures for the proper preparation of personal property for shipment and/or storage, including specialized items, to domestic and overseas locations.
3. Prepares documentation reporting carrier performance using automated systems. Observes, documents, and evaluates performance of contractor on packing, containerization, and local drayage of personal property.
4. Provides oversight of the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) contract. Serves as a Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE), functionally qualified to ensure the Air Force receives quality contractor performed services and pays only for acceptable services received.

The primary purpose of this position is: To perform aircraft structural maintenance and support equipment repair for tasks associated with the planning, laying out, fabricating, modifying, repairing, assembling, corrosion control, specialized coatings, advanced composites, tubing, and installing sheet metal parts, items, and assemblies and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks herein.

DUTIES:
1: IAW technical data and standards: Plans and lays out work from engineering data, blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, and work orders in the repair, coating, or manufacture of aircraft structural components and support equipment.
2: IAW technical data and standards: Develops patterns, molds, cuts, forms, joins, assembles, and installs items and systems which have combined straight and curved edges or irregular curves, angles, and planes.
3: Operates, cleans, maintains, and accounts for all hand, power tools and equipment, such as slip roll forming machines, box and pan brakes, beading and tubing machines to fabricate and repair items. Utilizes safety practices, Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and AF Environmental Compliance Assessment Management Program (ECAMP) environmental protection practices and procedures and complies with security regulations, directives and policies.
4: Inspects, prepares aircraft and support equipment surfaces and applies a variety of chemical compounds, protective and specialized coatings to a variety of materials, such as sheet metal, radomes, and composites then correctly disposes of hazardous waste products.
5: Repairs, modifies, and manufactures fiberglass, bonded honeycomb, and composite/metal structural components that have contours that must be reestablished or that require the manufacture of a mold using the available part or pattern. Prepares effective training plans to maximize Reserve training.

- Receives work document(s) or oral instructions regarding problem with aircraft fuel system

- Troubleshoots integral fuel tanks, using leak path analysis and other test procedures such as pressure checks, vacuum checks, dye injection checks, helium and argon gas checks, etc., to determine the source of fuel leaks

- Troubleshoots integral and body fuel tanks to determine location of leaks

- Accomplishes modifications and prepares components for storage or shipment. In performing duties uses a variety of common hand tools, combustible and toxic gas indicators, torque wrenches, leak detectors, pressure gauges, manometers, powered tools such as drills and pneumatic wrenches; also, operates AGE such as blowers, filters, vacuum cleaners, heaters, air conditioners, fire extinguishers, etc.

The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Supervisor exercising Technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in accomplishing trades and labor work. Trains Reservists in the duties and responsibilities set forth herein.
