AM Hotel Kollection Manasa Inn is looking for dedicated Stewards to join our team. The primary responsibility of a Steward is to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient restaurant and kitchen environment. You will be instrumental in supporting our culinary and dining operations by assisting in food preparation, cleaning kitchen and dining areas, and ensuring that all equipment and utensils are properly maintained. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide guests with menus and offer recommendations when necessary.
- Answer questions about the menu, ingredients, and dietary restrictions.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff.
- Ensure timely and correct delivery of food and drinks to guests’ tables.
- Order Management:
- Ensure accuracy of orders and special requests (e.g., allergies, dietary preferences).
- Communicate special requests or modifications to the kitchen staff and follow up to ensure they are met.
- Handle any changes to the order promptly and communicate them to the appropriate staff.
- Food & Beverage Service:
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Refill drinks, provide additional condiments or side dishes as requested by the customer.
- Clear empty dishes, glasses, and utensils promptly, keeping the dining area clean and organized.
- Guest Interaction:
- Check in with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or concerns.
- Upsell menu items, special promotions, or beverages to increase sales.
- Offer dessert or coffee options after the main course.
- Thank customers for dining and invite them to return.
- Payment Handling:
- Present checks to customers, process payments (cash, credit/debit), and return change or receipts.
- Handle any billing discrepancies and resolve issues with management, if necessary.
- Maintaining Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including dining areas, tables, and service stations.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines for food handling and cleanliness.
- Clean and reset tables for the next customers.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth service.
- Assist colleagues during busy shifts by helping with clearing tables or running food.
- Communicate effectively with fellow team members to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
